Junyuan Primary

Hi, I am very happy to discover this forum and just joined yesterday. I have two girls study in JunYuan, they are in P1 and P2 respectively. I wonder how many members have kids studied in this school.

My P1 kid brought back a set of spelling lists means for the spelling tests in next few weeks. That is good for parents who wanted to pre-prepare the kids, not only for the current week spellings, but weeks later.
For my P2 kid, when the first spelling list was given last week, the following day was the test.
Wow… wonder if this going to be a norm, progressively training the kids with shorter study time. -

Hi Carlcity, it depends on what you want for your child and your values and believes in how to achieve it with reference to the school you have in mind. Both St Hildra , JunYuan and East View are very closely located, one like next to each other while the other is across a road. I can only share about JunYuan as my 2 children are in JunYuan, I like JunYuan so far, for how it communicate with parent and organize workshops for parent. I felt the school take in feedback from parent, and all these are important to me. To grown a child and work with school as a partner. However, the parent group in my opinion, could be stronger. In term of school work load, I think it is healthy, not "too much home works" for P1 and P2 (so far). I will only start to worry if this kind of transition, if prove that I am wrong - the P1/P2 kids shall jump to deep pool of academic, is bad for kids. Hope this helps.

Hi mummies,
My boy will be joing the school next year in P1. I actually visited the school 2 weeks ago. The environment is good, big spaces. And I browsed the website there is no PSLE resultsbeen displayed and cant find the offered CCA activities for lower primary.
Can you please update more on the academic side?
thanks -
Hi Changradiant,
Let me try to share with you some info, and hope is useful and answer to some of your queries....
Check out web site http://www.junyuanpri.moe.edu.sg/schoolinfo.asp?infoid=3
I am quite sure the PSLE result for 2012 will be posted on this site. Some CCAs info can be found there, but might not have a complete list of CCA available.
