        Gabby:
Hopefully DS can cope next year. I am continuing berries next year so that he has an additional opportunity to use Chinese. Otherwise, he only converses in English.

Yo nonkiasu, one of your DS will be in same class as my son. 🙂
Ya, it's my DS3, my most worrying one. Good, we can exchange info liao!

Nonkiasu, your reply was so funny. Worst grade go to 3C, so contradicting coz C is the best class in P1 and 2. Lol! But kudos to you, have to supervise 3 and all are in HA classes!

Anyone’s child going to 3D next year here?

So obviously, the sch did 'spread out' the kids. Some of their classmates who score very well are going to 3G, 3E and 3C.
My one that go to 3C is actually borderline case lah, heng heng one. That's why last nite I thot there is no streaming.

              Hi All,

I am one of the concerned parent too. I agree with blue belt. They indeed spreaded out the smarts kids. My DS from 2E is going to 3C. From his class the top guy is going to 3F according to my DS. They are all spreaded out. So the HA classes looks like are from C to G.

They literally blended out all the smart kids. Not sure will this system works. Let’s see the PSLE results in 4 yrs’ time.

I am in deep trouble… as I promised my boy alot of presents if he ever able to get into 3C class. On Friday, I called home in the evening, he told me there is a good news for me. He said I have to get him the presents as I have promised.

In fact, he didnt do well for the last few tests. Results dropped. And worst school changed the system. And now he thinks he is in the top class : - ((

Barely 5 to 6 kids from 2E is going to 3C.

Actually this could take out some of the tension from banding. Let the children work hard and play together.

When I was young, there were bright sparks in every class, there were also slower ones. There was less differentiation, and we were all happy kids. I want my boy to enjoy his childhood, yet scared he will be left behind in the rat race.

It could also be the school is strategising towards the "real grouping" during the next streaming at P4. It will be closer to P6 by then.

From P5 to P6, the C to E could be the top 3 classes.

Anyway, I feel the pre P1 orientation to group kids according to the readibility in both languages is too early to make any judgement of the kids’ academic abilities.
