i understand. tho my girl’s sch doesnt hv exam in p1 but daily work is counted towards year end rating （not marks, just ave, below ave and abv ave that kind) and seriously, in p2 (where there’s banding at the year end) and p3.
counting daily work is worse to me, more stressful, bcos u dont know whc piece of daily work is counted. and it also means the kids must instantly get it when the teacher just taught the topic -
On a whole so far - im happy with MS.
Yes there is schoolwork stress - but i feel its still quite manageable. Students are alittle notti - but thats part of growing up. School bus timing came up pretty well for me. Class teachers are great for me also.
No complains thus far and i'm quite glad i took the decision to register my boy at MS and try the balloting altough i stay quite far away!!
Ds 2 and 3 def going there....

does the sch bus turn into ur block or house or just allight the child at main rd?

Ha ha...from this thread, it would seem that the greatest problem MS has is with the packed food!i m not a maris stella parent but mostly likely will be wheen i register this jul.
perhaps can ask parents from other top sch eg catholic high?? that hv tests for p1?

A friend compared her MS son's test papers with her daughter's. She says MS work is certainly more challenging. -

Anyone P1 parents who cancelled their food catering received their refund? I have cancelled since Jan and yet to receive the cheque. Waiting 2 months for a simple refund. Is it just us or do you experience the same delay?

I have cancelled mine from Feb onwards and till now I have not receive any refund. I have almost forgotten, shall give them a call.

Very pissed off with Nonya Manis, called them to check on the refund and instead they asked me to call the bank to check whether the cheque we issued to MSHS for the catering scheme has been cleared. Then give them call to inform, they will then proceed with the refund. :x Very irresponsible!!
