Dear Parents of 1E,

May know if there's any homework, or anything to note for tmr? DS's absent fr school today.

      TIA!

      Hi,
sorry my ds is from 1I. Just checking if your ds form teacher update thru marist the stuff he is missing during his absence? As my ds was on mc on 13th to 14th. There was no update on what he had missed or what he had to catch up. Disappointing.

      Hi,

Neither did the FT fr my DS class.

The FT also did not acknowledge my note on DS MC nor take away the stapled MC fr Marist Buddy.
Hi,
the form teacher remain \"silent\" when i send her the email to inform DS was on mc. i was planning to drop my 3rd mail to her and cc the school main add. Luckily she finally replied she received the mc. so passive

        Hi All,

I received the letter from sch today. Saw on the letter that we have to pay $33.17 per pupil for Marshall Cavendish online (MC online).

I am puzzled. How come different primary sch pays different rates ? I heard that Henry Pk and Nanyang Pri ,its free. Whilst in Elias Pk Pri ,its $22.40,but the sch co-pays with the parents, hence per pupil is only $10.77… and they are allowed to use EDUSAVE to pay !!

It's included in the annual Bulk Collection Exercise. I don't think it will be 100% cash. But seriously $33.17 is expensive. Some schools can offer it free because they used the school ICT fund or operating fund to pay for it. Different schools will have different needs. So we can't really compare. To be fair, these vendors usually bill the schools the same rate. I will be interested to know why if the rate is different.

Zoji, can I check with you $20 is per subject for tuition? Wah, that very good value. In TLC I'm paying per mth $990 for tuition etc.. Per mth $270 does it include the bus ride frm MSHSP to BSC? Are there other schools children there? How's their behaviour? Sorry to ask you so many questions.

            Hi,
im not too sure about other subject. but for maths the lady told me is $20 per month. And the tution teacher even bought along some materials and a assessment book for my son. TLC is ex in everything from my point of view. The only point that is good is the location.
$270 does not include the bus ride. Yes there are other school children over there too. So far im ok with everything over at the student care. Auntie are strict and make sure they do something and not only play. Probably u can pop by to checkout the location

            Thanks, Zoji 😄

Hi, parents of P1/1E, did any of ur DS write on the Marist Buddy regarding recess time for Mon, Tue, Thur & Fri being @10:15am? Their usu time is 9:45am, so m wondering if it’s a temp change or? Asked DS, who told him to jot down the note, he said his FT.

BTW, do u know when the FT, or the teachers check on the Marist Buddy? Is it done daily, or it’s the child’s responsibility to show it to their teachers should there be any notes/qns written by us?

                    Tks!

Anyone has any idea what the P1 parents’ briefing tomorrow will be about? Any P2 or 3 parents who has gone for the briefing before and found it useful? I have to make special arrangements to go down, so I’m not sure if it’s worth the trouble.

yes, my son wrote the same note in marist buddy except he missed out fri. 🙂 it is temporary. the older boys are having CA1, so the school shifted the P1 recess time to reduce the noise level. the dates are 1, 2, 5 and 6 march. you can refer to the CA1 schedule given a few weeks back.

i don't think FT checks the marist buddy unless it is brought to her attention. once i wrote something in marist buddy and there was no response. then I asked DS to pass to the teacher the next day and she acted upon it.
