      VVJJ:
I could be wrong but she doesn't seems to be the kind of teacher that updates blog... 😄 Let's give her another week... but I know my son says she's not a funny kind of teacher. Maybe his kindergarten teachers are younger and energetic...

Hi VVJJ... I get the same vibes.. she definitely doesn't look the part... in fact, I used the same link and types in her 2009 class.... per school website... seems that no updates for the previous P1 class blog either ? 🙂

          Hi,

          Can anyone advise the following:

          1. What is "Assembly 1"?
          2. What is the difference between "Faith & Values" and "Pastoral Care 1"?
          3. What is "Library Instructional Programme"?

          Thanks.

            hi miracle child,

            this is my interpretation-

assembly 1 refers to the 1st session of assembly. the school has 2 assembly - 1 for upper and 1 for lower - i think.

faith & values is probably religious education and pastoral care prob is more on character building.

library instructional prog is when the kids get to go to the lib to borrow books.

            😄

What do they do at assembly? I thought the morning assembly is just standing outside the classroom to sing the anthem, say pledge, etc. Is this assembly 1 different? There is only 1 period in each week....

                hi miracle child,

during this 1 period assembly, the kids assemble in the school hall, and the school might hold talks, performance, have visitors etc, but i’m not exactly sure what they do each week.

                hope it helps

I’m wondering how do you all manage to get into the school. I’m staying more than 2Km away so i’m wondering do i need to do PV to get into Maris Stella? Any parents successful in getting in to MAris Stella and stay 2KM and not doing any PV, without ballot?

For the past 2yrs (I only followed the last 2yrs), kids within 1-2km needed to ballot already. So unless you can get in from phase 1 and 2, there is no chance of kids beyond 2km to get into the school.

I am also a parent of a child in P1G. Both my husband and I are very impressed with the form teacher, Ms Yeo. She has been diligently updating the blog which is very useful and informative to us.

My son seems to be enjoying his new environment…

I'm also impressed with Ms Yeo , 1G form teacher.. I look forward to her blog daily, knowing details on homework/parent's letter etc. My son enjoys her class too..

As for my other twin boy (1F), still crying yesterday morning. Spoke to teacher couple of times. Don't seems to get encouraging support. No blog updates... my boy don't enjoy the class... Hopefully, he will overcome his anxiety by next week. Last nite, he's running a high fever. Wonder if it's due to stress...
