• RE: Tuition fee free in which countries?

Unlike Singapore where they give out free scholarships freely to foreigners, other countries would offer free (discounted or delay payment etc) tuition to their own citizens only.

They had the Passion Run then the movie afterwards. That’s why the unusual high traffic and the policemen. There are always policemen at almost all running events coz of road closures.

    • RE: Where to get SG Souvenirs for oversea kids

If you don't want to go \"all the way from the west to central\" to buy a souvenir. Then why don't you make one. It is the thought that counts 😄

I think it is the type of books that he is not interested? Try the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. They are quite popular with young cheeky boys.

Geronimo Stilton also very engaging with its coloured contents.

Just for sharing, you can buy the Fitflop at the below link, they don't have much variety but definitely cost much cheaper than those in the departmental store.

They don't seem authentic even though they claim that they are. Go read the feedback.

You will need to report to SMRT. They will cancel the lost one. Then you will have to apply for a new one from there.
The latest P1 听写my son got 90/100. 10 marks deducted because the HYPY \"San\" was written in capital S! I am quite mad, considering all the 听写 will be generated towards their CA1 marks. Should I complain?

Only the best 3 results will be taken. So having one 90/100 would not make a diff if he already has three full marks.

Eh, I thought it was best 5 out of 7 tingxie in term 1?

Anyway, cannot complain coz my son also got marks deducted for such \"minute\" errors. But apparently, they will still mark such mistakes wrong as they want to inculcate the practice of writing exactly what the teacher gave. They don't encourage \"creativity\" as this age. And there is no capital letter for HYPY unless it is a pronoun contained in a sentence made of HYPY. Same for English spelling too.
O I guess they changed the curriculum. Last time when CA1 and SA1 still exists, only the best 3 ting xie is considered. Well, an error is an error is an error...enuf said.

Any P3 parents in this forum? Just wondering how did your kids fare in the recent CA. Not sure if the work has become much more difficult or if my kids is starting to lag behind 😞

Yes things are a lot more difficult from P3. The best is to ask him how he did amongst his classmates. Most teacher do tell the class how many got band 1 etc.
