Maris Stella High
-
dear parents,
i booked the BTO (Woodleigh Glenn), upon the move in date my son will be entering to P1.
i wanted to enroll my son to Maris Stella Primary, may i know how i can submit the volunteer application? is there any method that can increase the chances of get the vacancy?
Can i use the my new house address (the BTO) to submit P1 application instead of stick to my old house address?
besides, for those family that has daughter, any good school for girl nearby that area? appreciate for the recommendation and advice.
Thanks a lot.
Regards

Usu parents send girls to Paya Lebar MGS nearby.

Other girl’s schools include the CHIJ at Serangoon Gardens, or CHIJ Toa Payoh.
If you’re looking at co-ed schools, can look at the ones in Toa Payoh area like Pei Chun or Kheng Cheng, or even other areas like Geylang Methodist Primary.
All in all, depends if you’re ok with your girl taking school bus to travel further, and if affiliation is a consideration for you.
Maybe you can share some other information as well, like year your gal will be entering P1 so that forumners here can help you better. -

my BTO is Woodleigh Glenn, i hope it is within 1KM to Maris Stella, as i tried checking on the distance using OneMap, i could not find any information.
And wonder if Cedar Primary is a good school too?
thanks in advance.

thanks in advance.[/quote]Haha... I think you misread my post. It's PLMGS at Lor Ah Soo, not the MGS at Blackmore Dr.
2 years before registration, call up the admin office to check if they take in PVs. Then get the PV form and apply. That will enable you to register at Phase 2B. -

thanks Cherry, i just contacted Maris Stella, they have no longer take parent volunteer. i would have to join GRLs (RC). in order to be under phase 2B.
would you have any idea if i join the RC at my current residence area (Woodlands), can the membership transfer to Woodleigh after i move over? -
Do go to GRL thread to read up. Best is to ask your RC.

Do you know if Maris Stella has SCC in school?
Heard that some school with have SCC but the priority is given to low income family, wonder if all in school SCC apply the same rules? -
Hi all, my son fractured his feet last month. As the Secondary school is situated on the slope so going to Bartley Station is very challenging with the clutches so he decided not to bring clutches to school since yesterday and he had cramped muscles on his other leg as it’s a long stairs down to reach to the station. Anybody can give him a lift from school to Bartley Station after school? His lesson ends at 2.15pm today but he can wait around. Thanks in advance.
