gorilla.. very sad  indeed. Anyway, I told dd to look for your dd to play during recess time if she can't locate yours. 😉

            gorilla:
            Good Morning All

jnemummy, only packed bread for DD yesterday cos bought a macs big breakfast for her. I popped by around 11+12, she has already finished her lunch (only took a slice of bread) and was playing with her friends. Will probably pack rice for her next week. DD only takes plain rice with seaweed so I think will be ok without warmer.

hoylj, DD said R gym was good. Was told to do spilts, said hers wasn't straight but the rest were :rotflmao: Did some other stretches too! She mentioned about the teacher speaking mandarin, guess should be Shen Lao Shi.

Oh yes, I saw some girls wearing the spaghetti top and black shorts. Looks comfy. Do the girls need to change to their uniform after CCA or can they just wear their PE attire?
            Hi gorilla,

That's good to know that your dd enjoys R gym. Yes, Shen laoshi is very nice, although she can be pretty strict too.

Try not to let your dd have too heavy a breakfast if she eats it on her way to school. R gym can be physically intensive and she may feel uncomfortable if she has her meal too close to her gym. She can eat more during lunch!

Ya, need to change back to her usual attire, t-shirt and shorts if it's PE3 in the afternoon else, it will have to be her pinafore. Cannot wear her gym attire. My dd now has to wear a sports bra and black shorts, so definitely have to wear her attire after her gym even if she's going back.

            Hope this helps!

              Hi jnemummy, KSMUM, gorilla,

So, how did your dd say about her R gym class? Does she enjoy it? Coach Andrea comes on every Wed and Shen lao shi covers other days. I recall my dd will need to put on a pink spaghetti stripped cami and black shorts later in the year. The attire is definitely more comfortable than her PE t-shirt and shorts. Now, it's a different one for her this year.

              Enjoy!

Hi hoylj, My dd class is on coming Fri. Will let know this weekend how things go.

              Sure, no problem!

You (and gorilla) can also catch our R gym girls in action. Watch this You tube movie.

hoylj, it was only the 1st day, hopefully her enjoyment lasts thru the yr  Well, she also did complain about her leg being painful etc... think more like aching after all that physical exercises.

Noted. In that case, gotta pack her uniform on Mon as well. Wed is easier since she has PE.

How old are the girls in the video? They must have trained real hard! Great job! Think R Gym will compliment's DD's ballet since some of the moves are what DD learn in ballet.

                  Hi gorilla,

The first video clip was an interschool competition. The five girls were P2. The second one was a school fund raising event. Those with the balls were P1 while those with ropes were P2. My dd was the one with the blue ball then.

Ya, I must agree that ballet is the core of all dances including gym. My dd is also in classical ballet. Which school does yr dd go to? Can PM me?

                      Good Morning All, TGIF!

hoylj, the girls in the 1st video look ‘small’… P2 girls, I’m impressed! Bet lots of hard work and sweat went into the training esp the synchronization! Thought they won’t start ‘competing’ till P3. There’ll be a selection by the coach to be in the school team right?

                      PM you about ballet.

                        Hi gorilla,

Just replied your PM. Ya, the girls start competing from P2, freehand. They will ‘rest’ a year in P3 to learn to handle the apparatus like ball, rope and start to showcase in P4. Then it’s all the way, I guess.
