3LCYMUM, MMCS is turning into a single session school in 2015... which means your girl only get to enjoy 1 year of being in the afternoon session... no idea what time will school be when its single session though. Afternoon session is from 12.30pm to 6.30pm (mon - thur) and 12.30pm to 5.30pm on Friday. So far, my dd enjoys school very much and is coping fine with the school work, i attribute it largely to her very good form teacher.

Thanx michyms, for your very useful info! :goodpost:

          hi all

i intend to register my DD for 2013 P1, can anybody share your feedback about Marymount Convent to me. Also, if there is CCA, is there any school bus that will be arranged to pick them up?

          thank you

concern_mum, MCS does not cater school bus for CCAs, so you will need to get someone to send your dd on that day. So far, my dd is fine with the school. She has a very good form teacher. But there is quite a fair bit of homework though, something they will get used to eventually.

concern_mum, yes P1s can choose CCA. But not compulsory.

Hi tabofamily, a warm welcome to MCS!

How is your DD getting on?

I live in Yishun too! Is your DD taking the sch bus?

                    Hey Gorilla, Tabomama,

I stay in Yishun too :rahrah:

Hi wkong and gorilla and other MCS mummies!

I'm more or less fixed on sending DD to MCS in 2014, and we live in Yishun. I read some of your comments about the very long bus ride! Can I ask if there's only 1 bus to choose from? How early is the bus ride? We live between Yishun and Sembawang so I'm not sure if there're different bus rides?

                    Thanks!!

                      Thanks!![/quote]Hi hi,

Yep for Yishun, there's only 1 big bus. My DD was supposed to be the 1st to be picked up at 10:40am, at blk 633. If you want a later pick up, it'll be at the bus stop near the overhead bridge opp Khatib MRT, around 11:35am. Hence a 1.5 hr of bus ride for DD before she reaches sch.

If not wrong, there's a small bus plying the route for Sembawang, think shorter rides since lesser students on the bus.

You can give the bus operator Chua Bus Transport a call at 64524650, look for Mrs Chua.

                      Hope this helps.
