The problem is my son is not good at his studies. I am afraid that his studies will be affected if he goes to Sport class next year . May i know do your girl have to stay back after school for her Basketball training ?
She need to stay back twice a week and most of the training conducted during PE period, if I remember correctly. My dd told me if the student's studies is not that good, the school will not put him/her in Sports class. Overall her class did not do badly in the exam, I don't remember her telling me anyone failing in her class. She misses her classmates very much after leaving the sch and still keep in contact with them. They will be having a gathering soon. -

To add on- my husband's niece is also in sports class P6 this yr, playing volley ball. Her studies is never as good as my dd, but she still manage to get into the sec sch she wanted via DSA Sports.
One of her classmate whom was my dd's ex-classmate fr P1-2, is accepted by Dunman High. Another common classmate's basket ball player sister was accepted by NYGH a few yrs back.
My dd and these 2 ex-classmates are now having a good time holidaying in Japan. So, don't worry too much if the sch select your child to join the sports class, he might be able to get into his dream sch via DSA Sports. -
Pcps is a SAP school, so be prepared for "chim chim" Chinese. The science also seems to get very tough in the upper primary school and even the good classes are not managing well with the CAs and SAs.

Hi,
I’ve intentions of sending my boy to Pei Chun. I was browsing through their school website and it seems like the school does not focus on sports or CCA at all.
For parents with kids in the school, is that true? Do you think your children enjoy studying there? I’m very worried that the school just focus a lot on academics and I’m not sure if it would be too stressful for my kid. -

The school has sports classes for selected students playing volley ball, basket ball nd table tennis. Their wushu not bad either, I think. My dd left Pei Chun to another pri sch actually miss Pei Chun very much. Her other school is actually more streeful than Pei Chun.Hi,

Little Star / NatTif Mummy,
I’m a little confused regarding the sports class… so only the selected can attend the sports class. Then what happens to the rest? Isn’t sports such as Wu Shu, Volleyball etc ECAs that any student can enroll? And do they still have regular PE lessons regardless of this sports class thingy?
