      iLoveChubby:
      To P2/P3 parents :

Any idea how the P2 students are being split to the different P3 classes?
Someone told me its based on P2 results but will never reveal to the parents (scared of \"uproar\" among parents.. 😂 ).. but i also heard its based on the CCAs that they joined...
Hmm.. but all are hear-say only...
There will be 1 - 2 sports classes for selected students. Other than the sports class, the other students are split randomly into different classes - this is the school's public position. This seems to be true as my kid's class in P3/P4 did include some very bright kids and some who faced problems in their studies.

At the end of P4, the students will be first separated into those taking HCL and those who are not taking HCL, then by results. There is also 1 sports class in P5/6.

I hv the impression later on at p4-6, they will grp according to result.

During my Pv times, teachers will tell us u’vegot A class, slightly easier to handle
Then also can observed more than half r prefects in A class

Group by results only done at the end of P4, there is no change in class from P3 to P4, and from P5 to P6. Of course, this is just my kids’ experience, with a new principal, changes may come.

Any one w a P3 or P4 child here? I remembered the HCL will commence tomorrow, 27 Jan and will be from 1.30p.m. to 3.30p.m. (My DS is P3)

When I asked my DS today if they were briefed of what to bring and where to go for the HCL tomorrow, he told me no information was given. Come tomorrow, what happens? He will not know where to go. I tried calling the CL teacher this afternoon and the best part is - there is no voice mail where I can leave a msg for her to return my call. I realised that this year, the school-parents communication is v poor. V often, we only get the Parents notification one or two days before the event. And this HCL is a v good example especially for a P3 child who is new to this extra lesson and don’t know what to bring and where to go for the HCL.

There is no need to bring anything extra for the HCL lesson, the teacher will basically continue teaching using the HCL textbook. The teacher will tell them where to go during Chinese lesson tomorrow, so you need not worry. If you are unable to contact the teacher, you could try calling the General Office and leave a message for the teacher to call you back. Hope this helps.

                  Hi Freesias
Thanks so much for the info! 😄
I hope there will be some briefing for the parents so that we understand the system better.
I am now \"threatening\" my DS that if he does not study hard this yr, he will be posted to a class next yr without all his good friends... 😄 just a tactic to make him study.... :rahrah:

                    Hi all,

Just came to know this website today.
Happy to see some daddy & mummy’s sharing.
My boy just entered P1 this year.
Me started to stress when I saw his homework.

                      Hi All

My boy mentioned that there is supposed to be an Art textbook. I remember reading from the forum that there is one also. I check his booklist but it is not there. Can anyone share regarding the textbook?

Meanwhile, he is interested in Wushu. However, I understand that the sch only requires the kids to take Wushu from p3 onwards. Any parents with kids in lower primary that enrol their children in CCA? Can share further?

I have emailed Pei Chun about Wushu.

They said there is only Wushu Enrichment class for P1 . You would need to look out for the newsletter around May for the registration info.

After that the coach may select pupils from the group to take up as CCA from P2 onwards. The reply is not so clear on if the pupils are not selected.

Anyway i have just signed my child instead with a nearby CC. When the time comes , may try to register them for the Pei Chun sessions.
