This is the norm. I believe consistent revision is necessary to be avg in Chongfu.
Where do u stay? 6am bus sounds early. -
That's life in CFS. Other schools do not have exams in P1 and P2 and they grade based on daily school work and continuous assessment. In CFS, there will be exams starting P1. I was originally shocked as well. But once I've got into momentum, everything is fine. Hence, initially you may need to spend some time to guide/coach your child with the homework. Once everything sets in, all will be fine. Don't worry too much and be positive

If i don't recall wrongly, the teachers will teach and ask them to repeat the spelling words and even dictations the week before they take the actual spelling/dictation test. The kids will memorize the words by then.
I agree with G-Clef. Just spend some time to guide/coach with homework, everything will be fine.
BTW any P3 parents know when we will know the result of the CCA (which CCA our kids will go?) :scratchhead:

The school letter states that CCA starts next week, so notification would need to be within these few days.

anyone knows why is TT (school team) in CF so siong? 4x a week, some sessions 4hrs each time!

but just like everything else, things always come in a package - my pre-schooler who is a special needs child, and my well-paying job and well-developing career that went down the drain because of the change to pt ... -
if the teacher will teach them the spelling & dictation words in class, i’m more relieved. i thought die already lah! once P1 starts i can kiss good bye to all weekend activities and have to cram my kids will all kinds of stuff such as tingxie & spelling just to ensure she can keep up with the pace of lessons.

Yes you are too paranoid, I think the spelling words (only words in bold on list) are not difficult and the dictation is just a sentence of about 5 words. Aiya, easy peasie no worries!

P3 CCA Allocation List is out. My dd was assigned Chinese Dance as her CCA. But she still has not receive consent letter from school. BTW, she did not join the alumni Chinese Dance when she was in P1 & 2. Anyone here whose kids are assigned Chinese Dance as CCA and not in the alumni team, have your dc receive consent letter already?
