      hi Kaka

When will CCA be compulsory in CFS?

I saw the CCA timetable schedules, they all end at different times so curious what time does the bus normally wait until? So supposedly those who finish earlier will have to wait for the schoolbus till (say 530pm for the last CCA that finished) and also paying extra $2 to be able to take the bus service to go home?

      Many thanks for your advice
CCA will be compulsory from p4. I have a friend whose child does not have CCA at p3.

My girls CCA both end by 3.30pm, they will reach home around 4pm by school bus. Mine are in art club and brownie. I am not sure of CCA ending at 530pm, which CCA is that? Children would be too tired.

Just pay $2 to the the school bus uncle when they board the bus and he will bring you home.

Does your kids have Maths homework everyday? My dd has almost everyday. And they are so difficult ESP. Worksheets.

Our DDs are in the same class. Is your DD coping well? My DD is struggling a little with Math. I'm worried that she will dislike Math. :nailbite:

            Hi gaffy,

My dd is coping ok. She also can’t do challenging Maths. I personally think the Maths is difficult too. I just hope my dd will improve her attention span in class…the form teacher is gd so I trust my dd will excel under her guidance…

Just to share... I have 2 cousins who had graduated from this Sch a couple of years back. The elder one scored above 270 and went to IP @ RGS, now with NUS doing double major in Chemistry Engineering & Business and is still on Dean's List. Younger one whom my uncle always classified as the \"not smart one\" also managed to get 259 and went to St Nicks, RJC and now on scholarship with SMU.

Both of them only had Maths tuition at some tuition centre. Nothing else. Low maintenance cost! According to my auntie, the school has very good and caring teachers. The school assessment papers are good enough to prepare them for PSLE. Teachers never failed to give extra coaching to weaker students. I am totally impressed with this outstanding neighborhood sch.
To parents here, I believe all your children are really in good hands. 🙂

Just curious why would you want to switch from Woodlands Pri to CFS? Woodlands Pri is a rather good school in Woodlands and your son will be in the top class, also what about the changes impact on the child? Have you considered this?

After considering CFS recent PSLE results, I don't think CFS is that great a school after all? My neighbourhood school downstairs, which doesnt need to ballot, has a higher top PSLE score than CFS!

Because I want him to change friends. Rather sad to see the environment in Woodlands Pri is not as good, in terms of peers and friends. CFS is more strict in terms of disciplines.

Regarding the class, CFS streaming is every year, so he can have a chance to go to good class next year..

Actually Woodlands Pri is not too bad. CFS has not been maintaining its high standard it used to be. But in terms of the notes to prepare for PSLE, I agree with mommies they are comprehensive and sufficient for PSLE examination. The top 3 classes are considered HA classes (High ability). Hence your DS with his top result in Woodlands Pri, needs to maintain to be able to top classes.

In terms of friends, maybe cohort wise, you maybe correct that friends will be different since CFS is considered generally more \"kwai\".
