Art class
-
hello artbeaucoup and foreverj, Yes artbeaucoup, I certainly am in a dilemma, not any more though, reading both yr posts has made me rethink my decision and has kind of \"opened up\" my mind. Deep in me I really do not want her to drop art.
After reading yr posts i casually asked whether she would like to continue art next yr and she replied yes.
Yup, compromising and time management has totally been left out. My mind has been filled with high scores, good grades etc.... to the point of forgetting my childs feelings. I will have a more serious talk with her to find out how she really feel about all her other enrichment classes too and work on it frm there. Each time i meet up with parents in her school, discussion would be on how to better their daughters academically and where and what enrichment ctes would be good for science, maths.etc /// I guess i forgot about an all round development of the child... will have to start spacing out her classes properly for next yr.
Hey! thanks for the valuable advice....u have both been very helpful :celebrate: :celebrate: -
Hi moonee, glad that progress is made and though the predicament has not been resolved entirely, a load must have been lifted off your chest... I always feel that sincerity and the willingness to emphathise is the panacea to our problems. Have a pep talk with your girl...

Hi mincy, glad to be of help.
thanks for the recommendation chamonix! I just sign my boy up for the tiong Bahru class. the teacher was really patient and encouraging during the \"carrot trial\" . Hope fully the art class will help him practise his fine motor skills more.
Did you manage to speak with Adrian and Kassie? Both are very patient and good with kids. There's also Paul but I think he's not back from his hometown visit. I have yet to meet the rest of the teachers at Kids Art TB but I think they must be just as great.
And I hope your son will enjoy the lessons and the company there
-
I met Kassie during the trial. So far I have met a teacher call Joanne who guide him for his first class. So far so good. He seems to enjoy the activities and the settings. I like the flexible timing for the classes. Looking forward for hte next class where they are going to introduce water colour for him
-
I also signed my son up for the class after reading the positive reviews from this thread. Hope he enjoys it - first lesson on Thurs.
For parents who are interested, the school is holding an exhibition of students’ work at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza on 14 Nov. -
Hi mummy of 2,
Welcome to the Kids Art's family! I hope your kid will enjoy the lessons as much as mine do.
Yup, watch out for the art exhibition. The teachers will also be putting up pieces of their works.
Another big event to look forward to is the year end camp. They have already started planning for it. From what kassie told me, it's gonna to be a big hit with the kids.

Hello, I am interested in the lessons in Kids Art. Is it more for toddlers and pre schoolers? My dd is already in P2. Will the centre be suitable? Does she still need to do bridge prog?
-
Hi Lock,
I believe Kids Art encourages their students to start with the Bridge program. It's definitely not a program for toddler, so be assured that the Bridge program is not simply some tracing or colouring activities. Depending on the child's progress, he/she may even complete the entire Bridge program in less than 6 months.
However, if you feel strongly on skipping the Bridge program, it is best you give Kids Art a visit or call to find out more on what they can do for your dd. The centre has a list of topics for the kids to complete under Bridge before proceeding to the Elementary program. Understanding those activities will give you a better idea on how your dd should proceed.

Hi Chamonix!
I’ve since met up with Kassie.
She’s soo accommodating!
And extremely approachable.
Felt comfortable already first
time talking to her. Thinking
of signing up soon. Only for
me the distance is a bummer.
No car leh…
But the rates are good. For a
centre that reali goes into the
techniques and the skills, the
fees are affordable…
Thanks again for the review.
If not for you, i would have
thought there was only Art
Zone there… -
Hi Buds,
Glad you found the school to your liking :).
What I appreciate most is Kassie's dedication to teaching my kids. Though my girl is very young, Kassie doesn't rub her off because of her age. And for my son, she's still finding the key that will help unlock his \"latent\" talent for Art
.
Hope you will solve the transport problem and join the Kids Art's family soon. :please:
