we went Vivaldi- there is gondola and kids area
btw, did the gapyeong circle bus go into Nami island direct or u still have to take ferry?
now that I got more time to study the train network, not that far like u said šŸ™‚

      mypillow
i also shortlist daemyung vivaldi park šŸ˜„ isit good? actually i shortlisted high 1, vivaldi pk, alpensia & konjiam.

no the gapyeong circle bus will only bring u to the wharf, u still have to take the ferry to nami coz its an island, but there's also zipwire which can bring u across but i'm too old for that haha...

Anyone know from incheon Airport to YongPyong Ski Resort and Incheon Airport to Alpensia Ski Resort, how long is the journey for both resort? Cos I’m comparing which one shorter time. Thanks

          Mummychia,
Haha me too old for zip wire too. I prefer relax non adventurous holidays.

Vivaldi seems popular among locals, saw a lot of students coming to the ski sch so it is crowded. Gondola up is scenic. But the hotel tower I stayed quite far fr ski field. Must take shuttle bus down. Quite ok place. Mayb yongpyeong is bigger and more space.

            Hi My Pillow

I've PM you on your query.

For Nami Island, you need to take a ferry to reach there.....very fast, think take less than 3 minutes.
Here's a photo of the ferry terminal. In the background, you can see the zipwire tower.

From Incheon airport to Yongpyong, think it is at least 3 hours by car. Not sure about Alpensia.

Think you might want to check out Alpensia's website.

Have been there in Dec 2010. Very nice there and we were very lucky as well because it snowed then. Hoping to return next year.

We stayed at the High-1 Hotel. Took a package tour as everything all arranged from rooms booking to dinner arrangement, extra peace of mind especially with young children. Some photos to share.... My kids really had fun and we were lucky as it was also snowing there!!

Ski boots and attire can be rented at resort.

Also at the ski resort , you can get gloves n children boots / adults boots.
Or u can get from winter time. Not bad, water proof.

Car118, how u want to get to yongpyeong? There is shuttle direct fr airport too.

Can anyone comment on Korea air? I had tried SQ n Asiana , so would like to
Find out how is Korea air, much cheaper than SQ or Asiana.
