Ya CC charge about 12 lessons at $40. Difference between with those TKD school is that CC mainly is at outdoor.
Yar, and according to the devastatingly handsome Korean coach, that is a big disadvantage. You may want to go for a trial class and ask them to explain it to you. Not that I'm trying to promote this academy over others. Since they offer free trial, no harm taking up their offer.

Sorry to hijack the tread a bit…
But have u considered Akido instead? TKD ultimately is a contact sport that defends through offensive actions…
I believe that as parents, the primary aim is for self defence n fitness… Akido is all about self defence, breaking the advances of an attacking opponent…
btw, I am no Akido practitioner, infact I have a black belt in TKD… but if I want my children to pick up martial arts, this will be it… -
Hi Mummy of 2,
This TKD academy is good just that on make up lessons due to Public holiday they are not so good. The JH Kim TKD Academy they also offer free trial & heard they have 5 branches in Singapore. Price I not sure is it comparable with Hyun TKD Academy. -

Akido? Someone tell me to also consider Karate. Wow like that TKD, Aikido & Karate which is good? Maybe go Shaolin Temple is the best choice. Does Singapore have Shaolin Temple? -

lol... my intent is for them to learn defensive skills... less aggressive... shaolin is also defensive in nature!!! not sure if there is a \"branch\" here... :? :? :?Hi Hi Hmsg,

Wah so confusing...so many different types of martial arts :?
Anyway DS1 is not really keen and at 4 years old, I think I can affoord to wait till he's older to sign him up for such lessons.
For TKD i happened to chance upon their free trial. That's how I got to know about it and decided to give it a try. Did not really do research. -

Hi All,
Is there any parents intend to let the kid learn Taekwando (3-5years) in the CC around Bukit Merah/Redhill area? I had spoken to a instructor when he can conduct either 1-1 or small group by using the musci room facility in the community centre.
This is quite a good alternative as compare with those TKD schools where they charge about $100/month for 4 lessons (45 min).
If you have interest can either drop me an PM & see how we can proceed from here. -
Hi Titank!
Can you please PM me the details? Thanks. -
Just wondering, will kids become ‘violent’ or like to ‘spar’ with other kids?
I want to let my boy try, but my hb is hesistant. He says that we are exposing him to violence (which we try our very best to avoid - esp TV shows & cartoons).
Anyone can give me something good to convince my hb? -

Learning TKD is good which can helps in thier motor skills & also as a self defence. I'm intending to let my DD & DS to try TKD but also have to see whether they like this activity a not.
