My son in P1 this year but I let him do P3/P4 Chinese asse book,when he is k2,he join P2 tuition class.may be I'm kiasu cause I start him early as 2 or 3years old.he is in HYPY class on k1.i found 字宝宝 is very good when teaching.he finish P1 and P2 字宝宝 around end k1.but only 认字no 写.so when he start HYPY it's easy for him.hope this help!!

I've a friend (local), used to be a retired Chinese school teacher from a reknown CHIJ SAP school. She taught her grand-child to recognize as many words as possible and cheng yu (idioms) using (DIY + purchased off the shelf) flash cards, since 2 years old. Currently that girl is P5 now, her Chinese essays / composition standard is comparable to a Secondary 4 student.

if after listening to the CD with the 4 tone for hypy but the child still confused, how to re-solve ?

any mummy ever experience like this before, managed to overcome ?

When I’m first start him on HYPY in a group tuition ,me too facing the same problem ,too many kids shout at the same time DS cannot focus.myself not good in HYPY so only way change to 1 to 1.its take 3 to 4 month to complete the whole thing much faster then group tuition.the result is better too.

Why don't you try guiding your child yourself? Listening to CD is not effective for my DD when I bought her those storybook that comes with a CD. She prefers reading with me. You might want to try that.

Wonder if anyone can help me on this. I need my child to recite a passage （般米）. Here goes the first sentence. 一只蚂蚁在般(ban)米，but my child recited as 一只蚂蚁在帮(bang) 米。How to correct this 汉语拼音tone of ban and not bang?
