      ChiefKiasu:

I will take my time to make sure the notes in my wallet are properly placed in ascending order, and in the right way up.

My daily possessions are kept in definite places so that I know exactly what I'm missing immediately - wallet in back right pocket, keys in right pocket, handkerchief in left pocket.

no dog ears in any of my books, and the position of my pillow and bolsters are just right before I sleep.

I do all these because I want to be the most efficient - I HATE it whenever I have to spend time in looking for things. I would rather be early than late for any meeting, regardless of importance.

And my wife is my complete opposite. .
 with regards to the above, while he is not a hoarder (he can trash the seminar notes the moment he finish his coursework  ), my husband has the exact same habit as yours - i can't stand the arranging of notes habit! 😐
or course, i must complement him by being the exact opposite! šŸ˜„

erm...and i haven't even reveal that he used to cut up his steak in 'surgical precision' as he strives to cut each piece in exactly similar in size in a specific direction/sequence with preplanned rationing to ensure that his main and side course last equally throughout the meal.
nowadays no time for such luxury as he has to eat faster than ds2 in case the little boy ran out to play as soon as he had enough...

            ChiefKiasu:
Like yourselves, I'm a super organized hoarder... and more anal retentive than anyone else I know. I would spend my life organizing things and then never touch them again for fear of having to organize them again :stupid: .

I cannot stand disorganization... even the pile of newspapers must be properly placed with pages in order and stacked in the same way so that nothing sticks out. I will take my time to make sure the notes in my wallet are properly placed in ascending order, and in the right way up. My library is properly classified after deep thought to come up with the configuration that allows me to store the greatest amount of books in the available space, and yet allow the quickest access to the ones I use most. I would squeeze everything into a 1 drawer and keep the rest empty just for \"scalability\".

My daily possessions are kept in definite places so that I know exactly what I'm missing immediately - wallet in back right pocket, keys in right pocket, handkerchief in left pocket. I feel great discomfort when things are out of place - I will go to great lengths to make sure picture frames are proper and straight, no dog ears in any of my books, and the position of my pillow and bolsters are just right before I sleep. When I eat, I always have at least one clean hand so that I can hold my utensils cleanly. I do all these because I want to be the most efficient - I HATE it whenever I have to spend time in looking for things. I would rather be early than late for any meeting, regardless of importance.
Nah...I don't think Chief is autistic...He has all the very signs of being an irritating perfectionist....wah....I salute your wife for being able to stand you...hahaha

                I think I'm a half breed 😐

Hoarding? Yes, I file IRAS statements, donation receipts. Keep 7 years. Other stuff like credit card statements, utility bills, around 3 years. My old textbooks, oh so hard to part, even though I never flip them...20 years & still counting
                :!:

Thrower? Yes, me too! I'm the only person in the house who is throwing stuff out. Newspapers, magazines, circulars all go to recyling bags. Clothing my kids outgrown, baby cot, stroller, out in a flash to salvation army. Yippee, so shiok to get rid of all the stuff I no longer need.

I do minor spring cleaning (throwing) every two weeks, major one every two months. Mini ones, daily! Always looking for things to throw :nunchuk: Not even a piece of paper is allowed on the floor. No clutter! No junk on any exposed area like table top, TV console, coffee table. Absolutely no clutter! House rule number 2

My kids are definitely hoarders. Junks build up quickly in their room. I can feel my blood pressure rising whenever I step into their room. They even collect empty vitagen bottles :x They have learnt one trick though. In order to hold on to their treasures, must keep them out of my sight. Otherwise gone in a flash

Perfectionists...usually difficult to have a maid working for them...Those who can have maid to work for them for more than two years / four years / six years / etc are usually those who can close one eye ones...

So, if you keep changing maid, maybe have to ask whether coz it's due to your 'perfectionist' nature...

PS: I have a few perfectionist friends, well to do, but all without maids, coz if maid with them, either they murder the maid or vice versa coz the maid can never meet up to their expectations...
My hb says I'm a perfectionist (maybe because he is a hoarder). I love my books perfectly wrapped up, no dog ears, no bends. I love to keep the house absolutely clean, no flyers, mailers, letters lying around the house.

But, I have a maid šŸ™‚ & we are going to renew our current maid's contract. I think we are fortunate to find a perfectionist too. She frowns together with me when my hb starts hoarding. She clears the place so fast that I hardly see any 'nonsense' lying around although I know there will be.

Btw, I think my son is like me. He keeps his toys sorted out according to the type of toys & he'll keep his toys very neatly in his cupboard.

If I'm a SAHM, I will be like your maid. If your maid comes to my home, she will :faint:!

Btw, any chance of \"borrowing\" your son on a regular basis to influence my DD? :rotflmao:

... Errr...my books usually are full with dog ears, folds, highlighting, comments, etc, etc. The more 'rugged' a book is = the more time I have spent on each (meaning if no marks ones are those that I am yet to lay my hands on)...

Ugggh! I'll tear my hair out if I see such books. The funny thing is my kid's school teachers make the children fold the pages of the books to indicate corrections. Yuucks.

BTW... I love to get book collections, but I have to make sure they get stored in the correct sequence. My boy gets the brunt of my compulsive behavior during the holidays where he would just pull out a whole bunch of books and simply stuff them back without thinking at all.
