Official School Opening Ceremony Updates!

Thank you to all 992 official school opening guests.

The Guest of Honour (GOH) is Mr Ng Chee Meng, Acting Minister for Education (Schools). This milestone event is one that will be etched into the history of our school. By making time to join us on this joyous occasion, you’re co-creating the West Spring Primary School history with us.

Please take note of the following:

- The presence of traffic police outside school roads on Monday.
- Extra security guards have been employed on Monday to manage admittance into the school.
- The school gate will be opened from 9.30 a.m. for admission. Please be punctual as late-comers will not be admitted in the school. The school gate will be closed at 10.30 a.m in preparation for Minister's arrival.

In observing the social etiquette at a musical, we would like to share the following points with you.

- Guests are to be seated in the hall by 10.40 a.m. Late admittance into the hall will not be permitted as it distracts the audience duing the musical.

- The dress code for the event is office wear. Office wear includes shirt and pants for men. Dress, blouse with skirt or pants for ladies. Casual footwear such as slippers will not be allowed. Inappropriately dressed guests will not be allowed into the school.

- Professional photography and videography services will be engaged. Personal photography and videography are not allowed during the musical to ensure that everyone enjoys the ceremony. The experience can be marred by others who block your view when they stand up to take photos and videos. Photos taken by the school will be uploaded onto flickr for parents to download after the event.

- The duration of more than 2 hours in the school hall would be very long for some children. Very young children and/or babies may cause disturbance to others and/or performers. The school may usher the parent to sit in an area that is more convenient for parents to leave the hall to soothe your baby or child. As the seats are placed close together, strollers will be parked at the back of the hall as there is not enough space to include strollers in the seating area. Your child will have to be seated on your lap.
