My son will be applying to VS. Impressed by the students I met at the open house - very well-mannered young men. Very rare to hear teenagers address adults as sir and ma’am. 😄 Hope my son can get in.

My friend called VS to ask last week and was told HCL is not compulsory but encouraged. Not sure about other HMT but I guess should be the same.

On the contrary , she called CCHM and was told HCL is compulsory from Sec 1 to Sec 3, and hence she puts VS as first choice as she wanted some 'leeway' in case son cannot cope.

But somehow I have a gut feel that HMT may become compulsory soon in IP schools as majority seems to be taking HCL nowadays from what I hear from friends' kids. :siam:

CCHM is SAP school. A must then.

I hope your son can get in. Mine has just graduated this year. He has indeed been transformed from a not-so-confident, bad-tempered, 'nua' in sport and impatient boy to a real confident, cheerful, sporty and yet gentle man. No joke. He had experienced small hiccups as those are life's inevitables. But the experiences he had in the last 4 years were invaluable & fulfilling and the Victorian spirit is a truly one of its magical kind. Not trying to hard-sell VS but speaking from the bottom of my heart.
