Title: Anyone tried LOGICMILLS?


Has anyone tried LogicMills?

My child is 4 y/o, seems to me that their courses are more suited for older children.

DS1 is currently attending their kindy programme. Is this relevant to you?

Actually, I’m in a state of blur - only know that they play games during class. These are supposed to set them thinking and get them to learn and the skills involved.

They provide feedback after end of every 8 lessons with grading on the various skillsets and the teacher is available after class if parent should wish to talk to them and understand more.

What I find useful are the takeaway sheets after each class which set out the objective of today’s lessons and what are the activities parents can do with the child to reinforce what was learnt. But then I am admittedly lapse in doing such things with him.

How long has Ur DS has been attending Logimills?

Seem like they only have 1 class and only at East Point mall.

Is it a enrichment center which conduct regular classes?

It seem not many pple know about it…

Thought I replied, maybe didn’t save. Anyway, DS1 in there coming to 1 year - he started with the kindy prep program and now onto the 2nd 8week cycle of the kindy program.

I thought they had another kindy program running at Millenia Walk (MW) on Saturdays? MW and Eastpoint are existing childcare/enrichment centres - they just rent/borrow a classroom for these classes. It gets a bit irritating cos Logicmills staff isn’t there to answer queries or take payments.

Doesn’t seem very popular cos started out with only 1/2 other kids in the class. 1 dropped out but now there are a couple more. Increasing very very slowly. I think parents need to reconcile that they are paying for kids to play games (I know my ah lao still needs to come to terms with that). But it’s the one class that DS1 enjoys…no homework, go there and play only.

Their HQ at Bugis I believe is reserved for ATS/programmes for bigger kids.

How is this Logicmills so far? Seem like it is more on playing games to me. I mean I'm paying $$ for my kid to play games?

Anyone if have try Logicmills please share if you had expereinced with them.

Yup, I pay for him to play games. Quantitatively, I don’t know what he gets out of it - there is nothing examinable, nothing certifiable. But I get regular formal feedback letters from logicmills about DS1’s progress.

Although it’s ‘only games’, I feel that these involve logic, rules and strategy (in some cases). I don’t do that at home with him, so am happy to pay for this.

Also, there are weekly handouts for parents to read and some suggested activities to do with your child. Like planning a picnic for them to gain understanding on the planning process and such.

yup, according to the rep, they are running experiments in schools - eg like half the class exposed to LM, the other not...and apparently there were results that indicated children with exposure to LM classes tended (statistically speaking) to do better in psle. BUT, this is something I heard from them (I cannot prove it), AND each kid is different - one child may benefit a lot, another may not. So take with huge dose of salt.

I'm a believer in that pp who do well in such games are very smart (I'm not one of them, but have seen friends like that). So I'm keen to expose my kid in this area. My personal opinion only.

kindy class quite ok lah, I'm paying $205 for 8 lessons. And they are flexible such that you can stop/start anytime - and won't have to recur registration costs (unlike some other schools i know of).

Thanks for sharing on Logimills, so on average is like $25.65 per class? What is the group size for 1 class?They seem to only have 1 centre in Singapore & operates on a weekend?
