NYCWTC:
Yes, it did. The first sentence.
Did the question mention that fruit trees, vegetables and butterflies make up the community? I don't recall that.turquoise:
In the exam paper, it was stated that fruit trees, vegetables and butterflies make up the community. Therefore there are no other insects like bees etc.
Exam questions are set in closed communities to prevent over-speculation and analysis of conditions. Otherwise there'll be an endless debate like what is taking place here. -

My son said this was not mentioned. Never. :grphug:[/quote]From what I hear, it was written in the first sentence. Then there was a space, followed by the para on the farmer etc. Some people might have missed it because of the space separating that one line and the longer para with the farmer etc.
I don't recall that either. I normally will underline such important information so that I will not miss it.PlasmaStorm:

yes, my gal said that it was mentioned that butterflies land on the flowers/fruit, telling us that the flowers of the fruit trees are pollinated by butterflies. (exact words can't remember). she could remember the word \"butterflies\" becos she highlighted it.
also the question did not state \"sprayed alot of pesticide\" only mentioned \"spray pesticide\".
How about the question regarding the addition of the bulb, any1 can remember the diagram?
and also would like to check with you forumers the question on the light sensor. it is about some products moving on the conveyor belt using light sensor to count. the (b) part question, how to make the counting faster?
btw, how was the exact question phrased?
any1?? plasmastorm, can u remember the above 2 questions?? thks. -
izzit this one?
a diagram of a vane painted with black and white stripes >> with a torch shining on it
what causes the vane to spin?
she attempted the ans this way;
the 'black' portions would absorb more heat relative to the 'white' portions
causing uneven temperature on the surface of the vane
the uneven temperature would cause air current around the surface of the vane, like the zebra cooling effect
the movement of air around the surface cause the vane to rotate...
need to see the diagram if they are vents or black/white stripes though...
right or wrong nvr mind, i think it was a good attempt by her  -
Vikaesh:
hey, you cant come up with a good ans after the paper??!! unless you are a tutor or need to publish an assessment book for the coming year? LOL...See if you can come up with a good answer for it with the picture. :thankyou: !
