244 is COP for last year… It won’t drop by 4 points. I have zero hope for my DD as far as CEdar is concerned

Thank you very very much for the comforting messages. They were beautifully written. I am just lost for words...Ive just been here a few months ago and look at all the encouraging words and message I got from you parents. Yes, I will encourage my DS to work harder and hopefully get into Express. Next, Ive got to look for a good school around Hougang/Senkang/Punggol for NA. I live in Hougang.
Yep! There are many kiasu parents here who are always glad to encourage others. My younger brother repeated PSLE. Everyone in the family shook their heads and wrote him off. But for some unknown reason :? , after he passed on his second attempt, he went on to do very well in Secondary and Poly. Now he is an engineer, earning the most! :celebrate:
Well, your son might a late developer. On the other hand, it may be good to sit down and analyse why he did not do well. I always encourage parents whose children in my BASC centre are getting borderline results to find one to one tutor or small group tuition. Class tuitions usually cannot do an effective job for underachievers. It would be wasting more times and money plus more assessment works to do besides school homeworks. And who to help the poor kid with his tuition assessment which are usually more difficult than school homeworks. :stupid:
So, may I suggest that you really do some thorough fault-finding. Unfortunately we do not know enough to advise you. Maybe pm some of us for advice by sharing what you have tried to do for your son?
For a good school at Normal Academic level - Compassavale Sec is rising up year by year - lowest entry point is 178 last time. Pei Hwa Sec - did reasonably well in GCE \"O\" level 2008, better chance of success. God bless you and family.
