Hi fxchow,Hi,
I went to NH open house yesterday, the student told me that he PC tablet program is open to all students who are interested.
Thanks for the info. That could be one of the deciding factor. -

Hi yjmama,Hi Justsay
Nan Hua over BPGH cos of distance and cca (outdoor activities)
to travel to nan hua, a 10 mins bus drive + some walking
to BPGH, bus - MRT - bus, so near yet so far....sigh.....
Nan Hua is a SAP school
Visited the open house yesterday, school hours are 7.30am to 2.30pm except for wed 7.30am to 1.30pm.
We stay up north and BPGH will be much nearer to us, but the girls (my daughter and her classmates) seem to like NH better except for the pleats... Seems like our girls are very likely to be schoolmates.
Distance has indeed restricted their choices. -

Why don't you consider St. Margaret's? Ignoring the girls from the bottom classes, those from the top classes (made up of girls with higher PSLE aggregate) are very competitive and well-behaved.
It's the distance. I am staying in the west.
It's too far for us too. Thanks ! -

Pls advice what is EESIS? :?Anybody can confirm that EESIS cut-off point is 261?
This will affect the COP for RGS, NYHS,HCI,RI for example.
Thanks in advance -

Even if there are 6 digits to the T-Score only whole number is compared. Is it correct to assume this?
NO..........the system will compare and sort accordingly to all the decimal places. i read b4 somewhere with reference to moe's reply of why pupils having the same t-scores but one gotten in the choice of sch while the other didn't.
having 6 places of decimal (quoted fr one of the forumer), the chances of having the same exact t-score will be extremely, extremely slim.
Zillion thanks Augmum... I have been immensely benefited from reply from this site. It is clear that chances two students having same T-Score is slim... Last evening i almost decided to play safe & put a school with COP lesser than My DD score by 4 points as fist choice... now i can try a school which is 3 points above as 'First choice'
Still have to ask my DD... if she doesn't get to one of this school because of my stupid act of selecting preference , she would blame me for entire life !!
Thank you all again -

award to top 3% of PSLE cohort.
Hence this year COP would drop :-
Example:
RGS- 261
RI -261~260
HCI - 257
NYHS- 258 ~ 259 -

Exactly. That's why we parents are so stressed up over the sequence of choices. Btw, it is always worth trying by putting the school with COP slightly higher than her aggregate. That's what we are doing for my daughter too.if she doesn't get to one of this school because of my stupid act of selecting preference , she would blame me for entire life !!
Thank you all again -

So was I when I went to St. Margaret's in the 80s. I stayed at Bt Batok Ave 5 and I took bus to SMSS everyday. It really isn't that far. If you are thinking of direct bus, 174 is pretty fast. Else your daughter can take any bus from Bt Batok that goes to Bt Timah, get down at bus stop after NJC/NYGH (so that the bus can be rather empty after all students get down), and she will have other choices of buses that go there. My days there were my best throughout my school life. I love it so much that I joined the alumni as a lifelong member.Namie:

[/quote]It is okay to put the first two with school higher COP than your score because the probability of having 2 students with the same t-score is quite remote because all students are ranked according to decimal places (i heard is a minimum of 6 decimal places).DadOfGirl:

But must remember to put the last choice with a school which has a lower COP as a precaution.
