I don’t think Ai Tong and Nanyang offer rhythmic gym. Should be artistic gym.

                hi meiah,

                you are right.

Ai Tong and Nanyang only offer Artistic gym as CCA. Not Rhythmic gym - confirmed by here:-

                Ai Tong:-

then she must be of certain high training standard, since Potong Pasir cc also send in representative students to participate in Inter-school competition as well:-

her school fees are reasonable ... compared to Flyonce (expensive), Prime gym (expensive).

ALL Gym Clubs encourage the Kids to take part in Open Championship, it's good for the kids to experience competition environment, as well as to learn by observing other kids' skill.

For Your Information, Spore Gym Organises 2 Championships per year :
Spore Open in June (open to Overseas Participants),
and Spore National in Sept (for Sporeans Only).
Both R open to ALL interested Gymnasts, with Grading Exercise.

These 2 championship is Different from Inter-sch (Pri, and Sec/JC sch).
Inter-sch is Not Open to Clubs, and / Or CC.

Not Everyone Will be Able to Rep their Sch, if there R Many Gymnasts. Normally the Sch will Select their Best to Compete.
And the competition is Really Keen in inter-sch.

So the 2 Championships Events organised by SG is sort of like Encouragement and Opportunity for ALL Gymnasts, with added feature of Benchmarking their skills to the SG Grading Exercise Std.

And Being so Near to the Inter-sch Event in Apr, Not ALL inter-sch Gymnasts participate in the June Event.

And with the Sep event quite near to PSLE, and Yr End SA2, O Level, etc, Not Many Gymnasts R prepared to participate as well.
And Schools Do Not Pay much Attention to these 2 events, unfortunately.
So Most of the Participants R from Gym Clubs, CC,
and Of Course, SG own National Team Gals.
                      πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚

CC Fees cannot be expensive, and it's for Once a Week, 2hrs ....
More for Exposure, Recreational and Keeping Fit ....

For Both Flyonce and Prime Gym ....
Both Clubs R into Competitive Sports training (aside from Recreational), and have trained quite a number of Skill-ful Gymnasts, who R medal Winners in Inter-sch / Championship Events.

For Your Info, the Lesser Number of Hours trained, the Higher the Fees.
For Training of 5 hrs or More, You will find that the Fees Reduced substantially (in Unit Rate).

Actually I Personally Find Gym CCA is an Expensive Sports.
To Do well One Need to Invest Heavily in both $$ and Time.
Maybe it's Becoz of the Non-Common Availability of Gym Hall (with High Ceiling Height for RG), and the Necessity of the Multitute of Gym Equipment (for AG).

A Kid needs to be Passionate about the Sports, Dedicated, Resilient on top of the Family have the Means ($$) and the Time (Kid has to be independent enough in studies w/o Multiple Frequent Tuitions) to Succeed Well in this Sports.
