On 22nd, the following will happen;
Release of Posting Results
The posting results will be released on 22 December 2009 (tentative). Parents and pupils will be able to check the posting results via any of the following channels:
1. Short Messaging System (SMS) via applicant’s local mobile number (if provided by applicants during submission of school choices)
2. S1-IS (http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/secondary-one-posting/)
3. Interactive Voice Response System (Tel: 6691-2066)
4. Going to the child’s primary school
Pupils have to report to their posted secondary schools on 23 December 2009 at 8.30 am. -

Last year, I received the sms at 7+ am. One of my dd's classmate, received at 6+ am.

I feel, purely allow child to choose their own or purely the parent choose for the child, its not a good idea. It should be an open discussion, joint decision. At 12yo, they can be still unclear on the pros and cons of the schools.Allowing your child to well choose their own sec sch, well of cos cannot be those very ridiculous compared to their results lah.
Well, sometimes we ought to give them space as next 4 years / 6 years require much trust and help=)
A good secondary helps a lot -

If your last name is Ang, maybe will get the sms at 3am. :lol: -

Not true. Our surname starts with \"L\" and we rec'd the sms at 6am last yr. -
Perhaps they go by school ?? Those who choose Ahmad Ibrahim sec wl b first then... :lol:

Another 3.5 days to that all-important SMS...assuming results are released from 4am..

how about brushing up on basic pc skills..like microsoft word, powerpoint even movie maker.
