Hi vlim did your son get more than 80% for his GEP SA1 results ?

My son who applied under GE domain (SA1 less than 80%) still hasn’t reveive the email on the GAT date as well.
We had paid the $50 for the GAT so I think should receive the email soon.

I think the $50 is for the application fee, irregardless whether you are doing GAT or not.

DS has travelled alone on public transport since start of P6.

I supposed for some more important event such as GAT / selection tests and new unfamiliar venue I would prefer to send him there personally to ensure he is not lost (or distracted along the way :laugh: ).

Hi, I'm new here .. son in P6, so will need advice from the experienced parents here. Received email from HCI on sports trial yesterday, find it weird as my son applied under the GE domain. Was surprised to receive the sports trial info so I called HCI to check and they could not see my son's application under the GE, but saw it under Sports.


I had already written an email requesting them to change, but still a little worried if they are tracking his application afterall. Any parents with calls or emails from HCI for the Free Response and Interview for GE pupils, please share so I know what is going on.

I have not received anything from HCI either. They had this puzzling online question which might have cause some confusion:

Were you previously offered a place in MOE GEP?
Yes (if yes, you need to supply MOE letter of offer)
No
I just put \"Yes\" for the above question.

Seems like most who applied for RI also applied for HCI,

Do most parents prefer single sex instead of co ed school for secondary ?

To keep the kids in the SBGE programme, there are only 7 schools to choose from, 3 boys, 2 girls and 2 co-ed. DHS is on the wrong side of the island for me, and NUSHS is too new for me but DS is also interested, so we apply as well. So we apply 3!
