Just wonder how is the chance of dsa into ACSI thru academic domain as my nephew is interested in it..

If your nephew is from ACS(P) or ACS(J) or good in sports( must be really good, e.g. top 4 position in national level) stands a higher chance.

if DSA already offered, there is no COP to meet. usual requirement is just to meet the eligibility to do the course she is admitted to via DSA, which is, express course, and the requirement is usually 200. the COP of 260 or whatever does not apply. else what is the point of doing DSA ??!!

If a girl has a confirmed DSA offer, all she needs to score in her PSLE is an aggregate that allows her to pursue express stream in the school, ie 200. This is usually not a problem for students.

In the event that the girl scores less than 200, then she will not be granted admission to the school and will have to indicate another school during the S1 Central Posting exercise.

[quote=\"babyblaster\"]Congrats and all the best to all whose ds going for tests on 9/7. My ds unsuccessful under sports, under consideration for dsa 2.

                What is dsa 2?

HCI divides DSA into DSA 1 and DSA 2. DSA 1 for those GEPpers and SMOPS platinum / gold / silver & sports holders (any change for 2011 ?). The rest under DSA 2....More details on HCI website.

Am in nus high for test. School is very organized, parents are barred from entering the registration area. Judging by the numbers of pupils, easily over a thousand and they have quite a few other test venue. Applicants number likely to exceed last year number of 2000+ as 5000 pupils attended the open house. Hopefully ds will do well.

Had the same experience last year, very well organised. What impressed me most was the registration was run mostly by the students.

Anyway, good luck to your ds!

Wow! Thousands of Applicants! Very Stiff Competition.

I think they have it capped at around 200. Originally I heard that this year's 2011 sec 1 would be increased to the maximum (for cohort) of 250, but from the actual intake of students that they accepted eventually (from both DSA +S1posting), it still ended up around 200 only.
