the portfolio is the compilation of your accomplishments, classified accordingly - academic, cca, awards, certs, trophies (photos of it), cip records etc....

some school says - submit when called for it, others say \"submit any additional info you deem useful\" .... something like that

of course you print out the application nicely la....some schools also ask for personal statement, and for GEPpers, the school may also want to see the project done

We'll also be attending a few open house in May. Maybe check out RGS, MGS and SCGS since their open house are on the same day. Very true....if the child likes the sch during open house, hopefully, he/she will work harder towards his/her goal. I'm :xedfingers: that DD will be inspired.

I think dd likes those schools that you have mentioned as well as schools offers IP program. Hopefully a visit to the open house will motivate her to strive towards the goal. However, at the end of the day the outcome is still base on the overall performance by the P6 cohort and 天意.

Hi Brenda10, your DD has started preparing for psle since P5... she will certainly do very well for her psle.. for those of us who started late will have to worry until psle is over...

How come u said no chance for DSA this year? Do u mean that yr ds’s school results is not gd enough to apply DSA? Actually, if a student is only good at academic results, can he/she be good enough to be successful in DSA easily or the secondary school will wait until he/she gets good score in PSLE? Or if a student is only good at music or sports, will the school also consider his/her academic results? Thanks for any contribution.

DSA can be under academic or sports or special talent like music or visual art

Under academic some sec sch further divide the DSA into mother tongue / EL / Sci / Math, and also separate group under GEP

there is no special group for over-age kids though ..... my child is over aged for this year's DSA :evil:
