If all GEPers are in iSparks then the number is quite small compare to RI

For Sec 1, total about 81 students only.I guess RI has about 170+ students.

      http://i52.tinypic.com/15q9o9g.jpg\">

The figures look about right. HCI + RI total about 250+. Total number of GEP boys about 330. So remainder of abt 70-80 boys in ACSI, NUSH, DHS, SJI...

My Ds's has 352 GEP boys, ie next year, they'll be applying for DSA. Wonder if the schools will increase the number of classes to take in the additional boys???? They're the dragon babies!!!!

maybe yes or maybe no for GEP boys. Is there any increase of classes in Pri GEP classes for GEP boys for \"Year 2000 Dragon\" boys? I guess not. But I know for the \"Year 2000 Dragon gilrs\" there are additional classes. In RGPS, there are 3 classes of GEP classes instead of the normal 2. The rest of the GEP centers, no change from the pervious year.

Anyone can confirm? I mgiht be wrong.

RGPS has always had 3 GEP classes. They've had it for years. Nothing to do with Dragon babies.

Thanks jtoh for the advise. Dont think we will actually "forget to bring" (doesnt reflect very well on the child)…just wishful thinking.

DS was hoping for a later interview date to give him time to prepare his portfolio. His good friend who scored >80% for SA1 is going on 26th july. I would rather he goes earlier, get over and done with and have one less thing to worry.

Heard from his friend who went for HCI interview (DS did not apply, struggling with Chinese) that one of the questions in Chinese was to ask him his opinion of the education system in Singapore. DS asked : what is jiao yu? bang head…a good thing he didnt apply for HCI. Some questions are youth centered like what is your favorite computer games and do you have a facebook account.

As for the term reports, can we \"forget to bring\"? Dont think the interviewers are interested to know that his handwriting needs improvement (read: horrible and illegible), he lacks focus and is distracted easily (read: troublemaker) for all 3 years in GEP. 😄
:goodpost: The interviewers probably be quite used to seeing this kind of report from GEP kids, they are after all unique. :slapshead:

Called RI, term report = P5/P6 report card. no need to make additional copies if hard copies submitted earlier.

So not that kind of report that hexagon is so unwilling to let DS bring along? Just the P5 SA2 and P6 SA1 results.
Welcome to the club, yours is also in GEP?

Hexagon, you are right! :rotflmao: It's a good thing your son didn't apply for HCI.

Your son already has ERP and IVP for his portfolio right? That should suffice. Honestly, sometimes the panel doesn't even bother to look at your portfolio. Students have gone in with elaborate portfolios plus models etc and the panel doesn't even look at them. Just go in with something you already have and are prepared to talk about should they ask. And good luck!

Yep, a boy who similarly has horrible and illegible handwriting, lacks focus and is distracted.
