:thankyou: vlim and hexagon. And best of luck for both your DSs.

How long was the interview for each child and was it like what was described previous, from left to right or right to left, not starting from middle?

Now its the turn for the rest of us, :nailbite: :scared:
Total time taken was half an hour. So it's about 10 mins each child. When a question was asked, anyone can answer first then followed by the person next to him (not sure if its right to left or left to right). DS said he wanted to answer first a couple of times but there was this confident boy who spoke up first, followed by him then the third boy (who seemed to be the most nervous among the 3 and he himself rated his nervousness at 10).

However, am not sure if other interviewers adopt the same system. Have not had the chance to check with DS classmates who were there.

All the best to your DS's interview. I think GE kids have been trained by their school to do presentation, public speaking and oral skills. So it shouldn't be a problem as long as they are relaxed and treat it like a chit chat session with some new teachers. Moreover most of them do have strong opinions and love to be heard (poor teachers, quite hard to get them to shut up and listen). Just behave like they are in class ( i know, easier said than done, i had knots in my stomach just now 😄 ).

Thank you for sharing the questions. I think you did an excellent job in extracting so many questions from your son. Good luck and all the best in the DSA and the coming PSLE.

Thank you for the well wishes. He is definitely more relieved after the interview (our friend is glued to the TV now, to de-stress he said). We'll take one step at a time. First up is Oral.....

            Hi hexagon

Thank you for sharing. At least they did not ask your DS all those \"COMMON Questions\"...

May I know is your DS SA1 >80%?

            Thank you

All the best to your DS DSA.

The questions are quite different ...I think based on which teacher is interviewing. did the principal or VP conducts any interview?

5pm i think. DS's group went in at 5.05pm but his friend who was scheduled to be at 5pm went in at 5.10pm. We did not see any more groups after that. Most of the kids came out smiling so i think it's not that nerve wrecking after all.

Told DS to choose his best uniform (the one with least stains), comb his hair (something foreign to him, go to school looking like a mad scientist every morning...sigh) and sit up straight during the interview (was glad the nagging works, he said he didnt slouch). It also helped that there was a desk in front of them.

Thanks Paddy Field 😄 . Yes, looks like it. In DS words : \" the interviewers are happy and jolly\" (they were the last group and the teachers were still \"jolly\".. :salute: )
