DSA 2011

DS was interviewed by VP this afternoon. Std questions, no surprises or difficult questions. I heard 1 group was asked to play a board game while the interviewers watched on. After the interview, I told my DS very honestly that he is likely to be on waitlist because his SA1 is 79.X%, however due to his achievement in Maths and music, there is a slim chance for CO. Whatever the case is, the other 2 schools which is applied for are good schools too. Key is because majority of his classmates has RI as first choice and DS has grown attached to his classmate after 3 years of GEP, so he would like to be with them in RI. Anyway we will wait for results,…now we still have 1 last dsa event…NUS high camp. Most of DS’s classmates are in the green group while he is in blue. Anyway, i’m sure he will have fun on Sat! (Ahh…just no time to prepare for prelim oral!!)

My DS was interviewed by P this afternoon. The first question was have u been to any other interviews like HCI, if so which is the most difficult interview question.
My son was also interview by P. Whole process take about 40-45 mins. Did She has ask your DS and the rest of the 2 boys to study hard for PSLE at the end of the interview? -

1) What books did you read? How do you find the books? Why?
2) What game did you play. Computer game? Cards game?
3) What movie did you watch recently?
4) Did you read the newspaper? Which news interest you?
5) Did you watch the news on TV every day?English or Chinese?

The worst was at the end of the session, she said to the group, please work hard for your PSLE and you would come to RI....Seems like hinting something.... -

They probably process the GAT results for both 9 July and 16 July together; and proceed selection for interview from there. Likely gotta wait long while before we hear from the school....is there a deadline for those who receive a co to reply if they accept? -
Tks, jtoh. Still waiting for results from RGS and SOTA before deciding.

Congrats TREX8! You must be so happy. Is NYGH your dd's dream school or did she apply to more?
