Don't understand the reason as the girls waited for loooong time for trial test date, just got the date and then called for interview before the trial test.Guess the girls really good at gym.
Could be because of scheduling as the teachers conducting the trial and teachers conducting the interviews are different teachers and they all have their own busy schedule to adhere to.
Interesting ....Funx3:
My DD's classmates (Gym) were called for interview today by RGS even before trial test (tomorrow). One in national team, one in school team.
Any interview news for other sports from RGS? Thanks
BlueBreeze,
U Mean the sch interview Everyone who Apply under Gym CCA ....
then Conduct Trial afterwards?
For some CCAs, the students don't even need to go for trials, just GAT and interview, as their time trials and medals at various meets would be indicative of their ability. -

That's before tution grant which will cover about three quarter of the fees.vlim
Total tuition fees for engineering and medicine/dentistry is S$33,570 and S$109,510 respectively current year.
Think doesn't matter for engineering but for medicine need to serve in MOH for 5 years to pay back the grant. Can leave earlier if you can pay back in cash. For dentistry if there is no shortage of dentist at a particular time, can leave the service earlier without paying back the grant. -

Guess they may need to do some rearrangement if 27/8 becomes a public holiday for the presidential election.hipomum:
Newbie here, have been reading the threads & am glad to find so many helpful moms out there, willing to share their experiences :xedfingers: I saw many posts regarding RGS & NYGH, but did not hear much bat NJC. Anybody whose child sat for NJC's GAT care to share? Heard the English paper was tough..... :frustrated: btw does anyone also know when notification will be out for the camp n interview? Hope to hear some input :thankyou:
Hi hipomum, my DD went for the NJC HAST. Yes...she also commented that the reading comprehension was super tough...her exact words \"dun noe wat the passages r talking abt\"...the other 2 papers, Maths Reasoning & Abstract Reasoning was easy though. The Phase 2A Activity & Phase 2B interview will be tentatively held on 20th & 27 Aug respectively....so my guess is they will notify shortlisted candidates a week before 20th Aug....so tat's another 2 weeks of waiting.. -

Their T actually attends the Inter-sch Championship to Sport talents and gives out brochures to the kids' parents to invite them to try for DSA.
And for those who perform well in the Championship, the kids R Not required to Go for Trials, but only for GAT Test and interview.
So I'm Rather surprised of this Interview before Trial Arrangement .... -

You dam ambitious! I do not know much about fees for ivy league as my kids unlikely to make the academic cut base on their current standards. Think for medicine is a post-grad degree whereas for engineering, max is a few made it from Singapore each year. Unable to provide further information. -

Guess they may need to do some rearrangement if 27/8 becomes a public holiday for the presidential election.
Admin from NJC informed that as they need to send HAST to Australia for marking, results and notification for next round will take some time. I think can expect to hear from NJC only after National Day hols. So, stay cool and sit tight!pinky88:
