Go Greenwood Ave and have lunch. 🙂

Heard Greenwood Ave got one restaurant with free flow of oysters as long as you order a main course.

        Wagons Wheels ?

listing of eating shops at Greenwood, no need to go 6th Avenue

because he is only at the top of his cohort, he could enter RI using his t-score

what RI is looking for at DSA is candidates with talent beyond their peers....

just an indication of what they do in sec one math : choose your favourite mathematician and his theory and make a presentation on what it is all about, together with all the proofs and power point slides...make sure your class understand you

in p6 gep..the kids have to do a Maths Alternative Assessment which they have to choose one of the given topics (theory) and do a 'writeout' and explanation on it..but no need to do slide presentation...but should be a simplier form la as compare to what vk2010 has mentioned...
          so sound familiar.. 😉

GEPers is doing advance. No wonder one of the RI boy (non GEPer) nwas complaining about his younger brother (who is a GEPer) having easier life than him during Sec 1. His younger brother \"shaking\" leg while he has hard time adapting to the new environment.

Btw vlim, does this Assessement constitute part of P6 SA1 result?
Secondary School Math isn't the only subject the GEP students would have been exposed to. They would also have covered secondary school humanities.

CongratZ! Is your DS gepper or from mainstream academic or sports? Just curious. So far all mainstream academics I know rcv rejection letters from RI. Thanks

Hi Bocmark .... son is a GEPer...Ok academics...good in sports...but to go RI , rather try the GAT test n not sports trial.
Congrats.
So your son is a GEPper that took the RI GAT and got a CO ?

that is why for RI, the teachers review with the few mainstream students their progress in each of the GEP class vis a vis the classmates who came from GEP background

My friend DS who is from mainstream and applied under maths domain, but rejected by RI also. I know the boy is a very capable kid who is one of the top students in a SAP school in west area. He got high distinction 2011 UNSW science. won distinction in RI Math, Platinum in SMOPS, Gold (one of top 30th) in NMOS, Gold ACS Math Olympics. Distinction for ABRSM piano Grade 8,school prefect, completed 2-year MOE TTLT program……. Unable to figure out WHY being rejected.

Those are impressive achievements. I'm surprised he was rejected. Maybe he didn't perform that well at the interview.

                no interview for mainstream.

I don't know if you're referring to Fish Market & Bistro. The food there is good. They have oyster promotions every Tuesday.
