Oic ... Thanks ngbrdad
Back in the 80s, the main building of HCJC was declared unsafe, they had to abandon the campus and shifted around for a while until everything was fixed.ngbrdad:

vlim
it was the main block in HCJC that was declared unsafe, had to be torn down and rebuilt
as for the clock tower, the boysβ favourite ghost stories during the orientation camp is to go there and talk ghosts
and by the way, only the top 4 class (sec 4) are eligible to use the classrooms at clock tower as their classroomβ¦it is a prestige / entitlement thing for the top classes to be given the honour to occupy the historic classrooms -

That's over at the HCJC side , not the old Chinese High side.

I didn't have to move around then. I attended lessons at the HCJC building at bukit timah. But the building was quite old though it was only about 10 years old ( i remember we celebrated 10 year anniversary or something like that). So I must be from pre-ε±ζ₯Ό era! :imcool:

Wow, Tawtau, you very on leh.. did you go thru most of the schools website? That must be tough.
The PSLE score is based on the following T-score formula.Ms tay:
Dear vlim
Sorry I not really understand what did u mean' STD variation and so forth...???
I just want to know usually what is the different btw prelim score and psle t-score ( just estimation)thks
Formula for T-Score
T = (50 + 10 (X β Y))/Z
X = Raw score of student in the subject
Y = Average or Mean Score of the level or cohort
Z = Standard Deviation (SD) of the level or cohort
Standard Deviation (SD) is the spread of the marks
around the average.
This is extracted from the following link:
http://www.edgefieldpri.moe.edu.sg/wbn/slot/u2208/Parents_Link/Understanding%20PSLE%20T-scores.pdf
That's why vlim was asking how you arrived at your child score. The school usually will release the min, max and the average, but so far I have not seen provision of SD to help you arrived at a t-score.
:thankyou: for the info!
