Heard RGS will eventually move to somewhere near RJC. So may have new compound afterall......

NYGH has very impressive school compound. Only set-back is Bukit Timah area jam and flood may sometimes pose issues.

Both are gd gal's sch, so either will be a gd choice! With your DD's outstanding CCA, should be no prob! Gd luck!

      Thanks Pen88n!
Yeah Read about that in their thread ....
Potential Sch Area Large Compound, but So Far NO SEE any A&A There yet ....
So Even if my Gal is Accepted into the sch, May not be Enjoying the Large Open Space Available in the New Sch Location ....

Yeah, Hope My Gal can impressed them Enough to Receive CO for her DSA .... πŸ™ πŸ™

Actually, My Gal Falls in Love with the Shooting CCA at RGS (After her First Ever Trial Attempt at Handling the air Pistol / Air Rifle ....)
Their Coach was commenting my Gal got very steady Hand and Invited her to join the Team if she's admitted to RGS ....
Well, Guess this Add some More Plus Points for RGS for my Gal .... πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰

Ermm, Chief, I thought your DS hasn't even entered Pri 1? Yet you are bringing him for Open House? Wow, you really live up to CHIEF KIASU.

Maybe I should start going for Open Houses next year too.

:? My DS is P6 this year. It is my DS that will be going to P1 next year.

:? Don't quite understand... So you have 2 DS?

Due to the heavy traffic we reached RGS at 1 plus and perhaps we were tired at that time and we just stay about 15 minutes and went off.
Talk about Heavy Traffic ....
We have Travel Round the Sch Vicinity 2 rounds and Park FAR far away beyond Ardmore Park Area ....
Ilegal Parking, Of Course!  But Every one is Doing the Same ....

Guess with the Heavy DownPour around Noon and Empty Stomach (No Tea, etc provided for Gal's Sch .... unlike our Lucky HCI, RI Daddies ....), U R Not Really in the Mood to Move Around as Well ....

Hi, we went to NYGH and RGS today.

We spent about 3 hours plus in NYGH as we visited their library, Lab room and dd manage to do some experiment there. They also showed us the i-pad that they use for the 2 Secondary one classes this year.

We meet quite a few of the Secondary 1 students and they were very friendly and share with us some of their orientation program and how they handle the transitions from P6 to Secondary one.

Due to the heavy traffic we reached RGS at 1 plus and perhaps we were tired at that time and we just stay about 15 minutes and went off.

This above is our experience today.
It is taxing to visit 2 schools in one day, esp. if you want to see more of the school. It is a pity that the schools all have limited days for open house and somewhat it always clash.

Actually I have this idea  - does the school need to have just one open house day whereby they put up all the \"ra-ra\" to showcase their academic, CCAs, marketing talk, etc?? :scratchhead: Can it not be a case of an open house week, with assigned students and teachers to bring parents and kids around to see the actual school day, and displays of CCAs, small group (more personal) talks, etc?? Wouldn't that be a more realistic view of secondary school life??
