Yes I really will like to know whether is it \"legal\" for them to do away with WL? Plain inefficiency. Does that mean we have to call MOE?

I was joking with a parent that when the kids go to NJC and are not able to meet their deadlines. They can always say it's okay - neither did NJC! LOL!

      Haha... Good one πŸ˜†

Just adding my 2 cents worth. I think all parents should just calm down. On the MOE website, it says you SHOULD receive by 2 Sep not you WILL receive by 2 Sep. Let's not get too worked up over this. If you have not receive any notification from NJC by now, the outcome is clear. So we should just encourage our sons and daughters to continue working hard towards doing well for PSLE, instead of working ourselves into a tizzy over what should or should not have been.

I see stones flying my way....better run for cover!!

        I think you are right ..... πŸ¦†

Aiyoh! Bear with us lah! Just venting out our frustations here now and then. :stompfeet: U guys are our kiasu buddies rt. At least we can   here,

no point fighting over timing differences

if a CO is received,be thankful, if a rejection, does not matter if it is received one week later or one day later
perhaps those independent IP schools have more resources to deploy in managing the DSA processes while NJC being a government school, as mentioned by some parents, very 'civil service' minded.
I totally agree. We really have a lot of nitpicking now due to frustration, relax and concentrate on PSLE.

If get CO on 7 Sept, all will be forgiven, I think  . It's not like a few days gonna make a difference. If rejection letter, no diff also. Better for DSA schools to say, all rejected unless CO received. :siam:

I think phankao ever said, the school fees is about $23, whereas RI/RGS is $300 => more resources to deploy with bigger budget, kekeke.

Complain to MOE not going to increase one's chances, just play to their terms and move on, imho.
          verykiasu2010:
some parents have noticed that NJC's test and interview is the last among all IP schools - to the extent that most other IP schools had already released their DSA results - success or otherwise --- in order to filter out those who are not genuine NJC applicants.......if such is the thinking, then it is a subtle unspoken confirmation of a 'second-class' mentality thinking that NJC is only a second choice / no-choice's choice ......

I hope NJC does not think this way
I think NJC does not consider themselves 2nd class, vk2010, it is the children's parents who view them as a class below the top IP schools. NJC is just being pragmatic, and would welcome all those dark horses, instead of all the ang pais.

As I said, I was quite impressed with their S1 students last year during Open House, but my DS just dont want to go there as he would have been the only one from his friends.

BTW, I am sure all the letters will be dated 2nd Sept, LOL. last year letter also same. πŸ˜‰

if NJC is a government school, how much is the school fees now, compared to IP schools like RGS costing around $200 - $300 ?

              $23 pm
