Hope the Ss prelim result will be out when school reopen .. πŸ˜„

My DS got back the paper the week before last leh .

My DS got back SS paper before term closed. He got 45/50 (never before so high) but DS said that this paper was quite easy, compared to previous ones. πŸ•Ί
wow, 45/50. So high!! my ds never score so well before. Even if it's easy, it's not easy to score so high esp when there's open ended questions. :salute:

Maybe vlim has been very busy gluing herself at KS forum these few months & been ignoring ds father. So her ds is creating a chance for them. What a lovely boy..... :rotflmao:
Right. Actually, what VS did was pretty good. Log into the system yourself to check the results. After that VS staff will call to inform you if u are successful. Just in case u didn't have time to log in. CO will issue to those successful applicants later.

There is still room for improvement as far as security issue is concerned. As long as you know the NRIC/FIN number of the VS applicant, anyone can log into the system to check the DSA results as there is no password assigned to each VS applicant. You also need to go to VS personally to collect the CO on 17 Sep 2011.

Hi. I am new here. How do you log into VS's system to check. Can't seem to find it on their school webpage. Thanks.
Hi Mvm, u can log in vs website to check result using the below link.

My DS also got back his SS paper during the holiday supp. class. He told me every students scored above 70%. No one fail...

There is one thing I'd like to know though. Do GEP students fair badly in PSLE? What is the avg T Score of a GEP class?
Maybe some parents of Gep students who have already finished PSLE can throw some light on it? This can help ease a lot of anxiety of those parents who do not yet have a CO.

Tisha,

like Nebbermind said, it's not that they do badly, but high expectations from them, so some buckle under pressure, I guess. This is normal everywhere.

Indicatively, my DS batch from his school last year had about 49 GEPpers.
Group A - 270 and above - 12 students from GEP ( 1 from mainstream )
Group B - 260 and above - btw 30 to 35 ?
Group C - 259 or below - about 3 from GEP
( lowest was about 247 or 250, cant remember )

But some take their foot off the pedal after CO from their dream school, so cannot say for sure. But last year, those from GEP in DS batch were all excellent students, good attitude, diligent, hardworking, cooperative, etc. So he was fortunate that he had good peer pressure, because he is the lazy type ( who studies for his exams 4-5 days before the paper ).
LangMum:
Dear Strparent,
Do you mind sharing with us what was your DS tscore? I understand that for Supplementary intakes, the tscore has got to be much higher then the COP for that year. Is that right?
Langmum, my DS is in Group B, good enough for us πŸ˜‰

as for those who think 4 A* will reap you 260, it is not necessarily true. I have seen a student get 4 A* ( maybe 4 low A* ) and his Tscore was around 244, and another student 3 A* with 1 A, with a Tscore of 262 ( 3 high A* and 1 high A ).

Good luck to all taking PSLE this year.
I am having a break this year, but next year my DD will be P6 :nailbite: :nailbite:

4A* can't be 244 only.
It is possible and was evident in last year's PSLE result. After all, we are talking abut T-Score, not absolute marks.
Is there anybody who knows of any Geppers who score SA2 below 75% and able to get 260 plus in PSLE ? :salute:

it was discussed a few pages back that it's difficult to translate % into t-score without the actual statistics.

Sorry, I mean SA1 at 75% (Gep) and then managed to get more then 260 for PSLE... :scratchhead:
My fren's kid did that - no DSA offer though he is GEP as he scored below 75%. Went on to score 26x and ended up at one of the top boy sch.
Nice to hear that πŸ˜„ ...at least know there is some hope if he really work very hard....asking this question as i dunno where my ds stand for mainstream result....not all paper return to them yet...again language oso not sure as some marks are not reveal to them too. πŸ˜“

Interested, how did your ds do for his prelims? You would be able to get an indication of his performance against the mainstreamers in his school through his prelim results. Compare his results against the highest, lowest and median scores of his cohort.
