supermumto3, think this is something we can't advise as it all has to depend on the schools. But don't stress yourself too much now. Try to help him now, see where is his weakness & use work hard on it for the next 1.5yrs.Hi all

I am asking if the schools for DSA look at P4 results. The reason i am asking is my son who is in GEP did really very badly for hi P4 mid term. So this will affect his grades cos' P4 mid term < 80 marks....
Pls advise.... -
hi supermumto3 ~ i wouldn’t worry too much about the child not doing too well for P4 mid term. i think they take into account that for the first half of P4, the kids are still adjusting to the GE program, and for some even to a new school as well.

Tks jtoh and Blur Dad for the additional info. What I've shared is my experience with SOTA and what I know about NYGH.
Personally, I feel that it is very unsettling for the kids (and their parents, too) if the school gives the idea that there is a chance of conversion from WL to CO after release of DSA results. Then there seems to be no end of waiting for news.
Seems like alot of waiting and uncertainty. First wait to be called up for GAT/interview, then wait for DSA results, then wait for the letter/email to convert WL to CO.Blur Dad:

Hi TREX8. Thanks for sharing. Just to add, I believe there's a deadline by which schools must give MOE their final list of COs and WLs in order for MOE to process the DSA forms. So if the schools are informed before the deadline of students who wish to give up their COs, they can (if they choose to) upgrade the WLs to COs. There were schools in the past who have written to confirm changing WLs to COs in September so that could be how they do it.jtoh:

I did send an email to NJC one week ago but there is no reply till now. I've given up on the school as it seems that they did not bother at all!

Hi ngbrdad, fyi we've rec'd the rejection letter fm NJC y'day afternoon. The letter was dated 8th Sept & the post office stamp 12th Sept. Think they must hv prepared the letter & take their own sweet time to drop into the postbox. Guess u shld be receiving these 2 days.Still no letter from NJC.
