not enough, got any more story on Ah Lian, Ah Huay ? keep coming ...
Haha Ah Lian, Ah Huay story more complicated  becos got to introduce 3rd character - Ah Mei who comes from same kampong namesake as Ah Huay's school who :boogie: enters at lower COP :boogie: Ah Huay school S1 COP appears v high cos less S1 vacancies, since they have to keep many positions to all the Ah Meis :please: -
yukilei:
Yes, it's just a guide based on historical COPs.
Back to my question, am I right to say COP is just a guide? not necessary can get in even if score > 259? Depending on vacancies & number of students applying right? -
With all the naming of Ah Beng, Ah Seng, Ah Huay, Ah Lian, Ah Mei .... It looks like watching Taiwanese Drama, but on KSP channel. :lovesite:

o.i.c... he is our vk2010's DS?! :imcool:
definitely NOT!
sounded like he got a call from RI the very next day, saying, \"lai lai lai ........\"verykiasu2010:
I heard of 1 RI boy, non-gepper, rejected by RI but given a CO fm another sch during DSA. He accepted the CO. But who knows, he scored 271 for PSLE. His parents immediately appeal to RI & he was accepted by RI. -
If the kid can give an accurate assessment of his/her PSLE performance, then the family can decide what is best when submitting the DSA form since it’s few weeks after PSLE.
If only WL or no offer at all from dream school but think did well enough in PSLE to get high T score, don’t put the second choice CO on the form.
If think did badly in PSLE, then better play safe to put the second choice CO on the form.
Better safe than sorry. -
if one day TCS want to shoot a movie on the topic DSA education, the movie script director should come here read this thread … sure can receive a lot of inspiration to write & produce a good script, starring all the ordinary ah Beng, ah Seng, ah Huey, ah Lian, ah Mei.

If you look at previous year's COP, then it is only a guide. That's what you will have as guidance before S1 posting. After S1 posting for that year, then all those who scored above COP (for that year) and participated in S1 posting will be posted to that school. If the PSLE score is exactly the same as COP, then he may not get into that school. Those scoring above COP yet cannot get into the school was because they did not participate in the S1 posting exercise as they had earlier accepted DSA offer from another school. And then all the discussion about appeal will apply.
Hope it clarifies for you. -

but nobody knows the t-score until nov 24but pple usually accept CO first safer is because they won't know if child going to perform well or not in PSLE.
if din perform well, then accept CO is the answer.
if perform well, then S1 posting is the answer.
but before PSLE, nobody knows the answer. Who can tell what's in store for you ...
and nobody knows the actual cop for the year until dec 21
so, if you can get a CO from a reasonably good, among the top, IP school, would you exercise the option ?
