May I know are there any parents who received calls from HCI asking them to put HCI as first choice yesterday? I was just wondering what's the reason for calling the parents when they've already sent out emails and letters.
The must have received alot of rejects lately.. :siam:
You ought not speculate! If you dislike a school, in the first place you should not apply for it rather than putting negative opinion or speculate negative view about the school. :razz: -

Anyway, to add I do not dislike the school...its a very good top school in singapore

Yes, I received a call from HCI too a few days ago, asking me to go for the parents symposium, saying my DS among top 50, as good as CO. When I told him my DS already got another CO from NUSHS, he kept on telling me we have to put HCI as 1st choice, otherwise DS will sure go to NUSHS. Just wonder how many parents they called & say the same thing. -

Yes, I agree math olympiads do still have a role to play in DSA. After all, there is a specific DSA domain for Math to apply under for some schools. It's just that through the years, it's getting tougher and tougher to secure a DSA through Math as more and more students participate in MOs and go for coaching and get better at it. You are absolutely right about other factors such as personality, aptitude and attitude coming into play of course.
