Super Alice:
For those non-GEP student that get borderline cases of 79.8% on average of P5 mid, P5 final and P6 mid year result, do they have chances to apply for DSA? My DS get this result and interested in DHS. Not sure whether he has any chance.

I think there's no harm trying.

I think you should just give it a try. If you do not try, you do not know. No one knows for certain if you will be successful or not.

Hi, does anyone noe rgs and nygh minimum percentage to dsa? I heard dhs is 85% for general, 80% for performing art and 75% for sports (non gep) and gep student is all -10%. What abt rgs and nygh? My cousin got 82.7% for p5 mid yr, p6 end of yr 81.3% n 77.1% fr p6 mid yr… The average for the 3 is approximately 80.37. But if count 2 would b 79.2. Does she have any chance to dsa?
hi, my daughter this year p6, she is studying at a neigbhor school. she is ranking about 7~8 of all p6 (about 240 pupils) in the school. she would like to go girls school.want to DSA for NYGH,not too sure can get? if get, is it very tough for her? could any body suggest 2 schools for DSA? many thanks!

Must see her overall n percentage

            P5 SA2 84%, P6 SA1 81.5%, how about this result?
Does she have any supporting documents? Such as some maths olympiad gold, or model pupil, prefect, etc? Or does she excel in certain subj? 1 of the student leader in nygh told me tt they focus more on other talents or character development such as achievements in sch or outside sch rather than just on studies.

              Hi

I read through a few post stating "For those non-GEP student that get borderline cases of 79.8% on average of P5 mid, P5 final and P6 mid year result".

What does 79.8% mean? Where the figure come from? Thanks.

It is the average of the 4 subjects marks. It will be shown in the report book.

I gathered that if a GEP student were to score at least 80% for 4 subj, the chances of getting a school thru DSA is very much "confirm". How about those that fall between 75% to 79%? Their chance?? What option should they choose in order to secure a sch thru DSA with higher chance???

No, even if a GEP student scores more than 80% it doesn't guarantee him a DSA in the school of his choice, particularly the top schools. He still has to clear the interview. If he doesn't perform well at the interview, then he'll likely be placed on the waitlist.

Similarly, those scoring between 75-79% stand an equal chance of being offered DSA if they do alright in GAT and the interview.

To answer your question, of the schools offering SBGE, some are more popular than others eg. RI and HCI, and harder to get into. So if you try DSA at the less popular schools, your chances of getting offered a CO there will be higher.

Has anyone been called for interviews or tests yet at HCI or RI?
