      TwaTau:

I have not received anything from HCI either. They had this puzzling online question which might have cause some confusion:

Were you previously offered a place in MOE GEP?
Yes (if yes, you need to supply MOE letter of offer)
      No

I just put \"Yes\" for the above question.

That question is confusing. It should apply to students who were offered GEP but didn't take it up right?

no...we have to tick either one even if we click child applying under 'gep domain'...so got to click 'yes' lor....

Thank you to all for the updates. No I did not tick wrongly. I went back to see my application and I did tick the GEP. I do agree that the way the question was phrased was misleading.

Wonder what the Free Response Test at HCI is about. Also the interview. If it is conducted in Chinese, my boy will get ‘heart attack’! Haha!

My DD applied to 3 schools for DSA as these are the 3 schools that she is interested in at this point in time. Even if eventually can only accept 1 school, I dont think it is a waste of time as the child learn and gain experience (how to respond during interview, how an interview is conducted and what is it like etc etc).

Also, by going through the process and in observing and interacting with the teachers and students from the respective secondary schools (during interview, when moving around the school and observing how these students behave), the child gains a deeper impression of the schools (as compared to just going to the Open House) and this might play a factor in the child's decision on which sec sch to go to should he/she gets more than one confirmed offer.

                      Edureach:
Sure! Apply for all top four later got posted and accepted HCI's offer, scored 265 or better in PSLE and appealed to RI. Wasting time! Must apply only those that interested should be the way lah.

That's true, although if your dd's secured a place in DSA then she can take it a little easier for PSLE. 🙂
