ie my child can still use the affiliation status during S1 if we put affiliation secondary as our 1st choice (that is, provided meet the cut-off points set by the school)?
Yes.
:thankyou: emoh & jtoh.
This clears up my confusion . -

If you are super kiasu, I think there are a few tutors and tuition centers which can help your kids prepare for the GAT and HAST.
Some practice will help as most girls would not be familiar with GAT type tests. It will be quite a shock for some girls taking it for the first time.Worriedpapa:
Hi, I suspect this question has been asked many times before but i couldn't find it under search.. My DD is trying for SCGS DSA via choir and needs to go for GAT in June.. I know no preparation is required for the general GAT test, but to ease our nerves, I would like to know if anyone knows of any samples questions so i can show DD what to expect? a glimpse of how the questions look like, more to prepare her mentally so that she won't be sitting for a test cluelessly.. all i know now is from the GAT website and it doesn't have a single question as an example..
thank you for any feedback!
exactly.. but where can i find any sample questions to even take a look? any clues, guidance please? thank you!
-
Worriedpapa:
I answered earlier but maybe you missed it: Google search for 'non-verbal reasoning tests' or 'non-verbal IQ tests' and you should be able to find some sample questions. It may not be exactly what is used, but should give you an idea.

There is DSA for Scouts I saw it but I can’t remember which school.
Just go thru’ all the DSA school given by MOE, you should able to find.
That’s what I did, check thru’ all DSA school, one by one. -

You can refer to this thread for some resources for GAT prep. Hope this helps the students who will be taking GAT this year. Good luck for the DSA!

trileets:
Last year, a few of the boys with < 80% received WL from RI and these boys did get into RI after the PSLE results came out when the WL were converted to CO. Having said this, their scores were just short of 80% by 1 to 2 points. We have also heard from some parents here in this thread last year that some with scores >80% who did not get CO from RI. So it is not 100% confirmed COs with >80% GEP SA1 results. Not sure the reasons why these boys did not get COs though.I have a qn.
If a gepper obtains less than 80% for his average in P6 SA1, does that mean that his chances for RI Dsa is almost nil?
That's the impression I gathered after reading through some of the posts here. I know those ave less than 80% will sit for GAT, but unlikely that they'll award any CO to these students?

Hi, would like to hear from past years experience. For mainstream students with overall score 75% - anyone received Confirmed Offers from ACSI or SJI through DSA? If yes, was your child offered IP or O level track?
Thank you. -
Hi there, anyone has experience to share re DSA for Dunman High and Crescent Girls via choir?
Please share your experiences if any… I plan to let my girl try DSA via her singing skills… thank you much in advance! -
:thankyou: ksme for the info.
This site is really wonderful with all the helpful forummers around.
