Couldn't find the \"Like\" button...this is the closest I could find :goodpost:
      haha, too used to FB?

      :thankyou:

Did your child just have his/ her concert too?

It's all the more touching for me, so I felt I had to share, cos my son is actually rather quiet and reserved. So to see him acting and singing so confidently on stage in 2 musicals, is really something we did not expect, and a side of him we have never seen before.

It's really credit due to his teachers.

Yes and it was a feeling of pride, joy and sadness seeing her perform. I got previews regularly at home as she would act out her part and some of the others as well šŸ˜‰

          agree... why sadness?

tht she is growing up so fast? šŸ™‚

for me, he will say his parts and sing at home but never with the music, props and costumes and so he didn't really do it with much gusto. also, i didn't think he'd be so at ease with so many people in the audience. it's surprising for me. i was a timid girl when i was his age. very reserved on stage. but he was so at home.

was also surprised to see him acting in the sunshine station/ okto. šŸ™‚ always thought he's so \"wooden\".

Our son just had his graduation ceremony and concert, and we were so proud of the kids.
            hi kabalevsky
u brought me down this memory lane again...... šŸ˜„

yes, fully agree that these young kids are juz awesome.....
kudos to all teachers who always make these musical Extravaganza
            so successful and captivating,
yrs after yrs ( i actually had the chance to attend twice for my gal's graduation)
yes, their acting was very well done and choreographed...... looks pro, right ??
            kabalevsky:
The graduation march was moving too. The presentation of the ring... My son treasures his ring a lot! It was touching to see all the kids, so happy, so grown, so confident, so articulate.
so isit still a gold ring ?? šŸ˜‰
            an emo scene to remember....
            kabalevsky:
Back home, we took out the stuff in the graduation pack. We enjoyed the pictures in the calendar. We had no idea they took so many shots of the kids. my son had one where he was playing with colourful balloons (an interesting story on the balloons was given in Pat's speech at the concert), and another shot where he was reading a book, and another one with his friends in the playground. The one with all of them leaping and throwing their scrolls up was my fav. It was lovely to see all of them so joyous and exuberant in their jumps and laughter.
            same sentiments......
            kabalevsky:
Then there is the audio CD where all the recorded songs with my son and his friends' sweet voices are, and the framed grad pic, and cert, and a gift consisting of a backpack and an IQ game.
I am eagerly waiting for the DVD now. I am sure my son and his siblings will watch it over and over again! šŸ™‚
i remember that yr, my gal insisted to listen to the CD everyday whenever she travelled in car.....
so much so that we got tired of it....haha
yr DVD would come soon...... happy waiting....
she still watch once in a while yrs after her graduation :rotflmao:

precisely, all sorts of mixed feeling surfaced .....
i think i almost near to tears at that moment...... šŸ˜‰

Not really sure exactly why I am feeling sad, guess it's a little of everything; that she's growing up, that she's leaving Pat's, that she's leaving some classmates who have been with her since Baby Haven days....

i see. thanks for sharing, scooby and augmum!

yes, indeed, i did actually tear too! not the sobbing crying type but yes, tears of pride welling up in my eyes.

nope, it's not a gold ring! i scrutinised it very carefully, augmum! so hmmm, the gold prices have risen and we get something different while your girl's one is very valuable now! aiyoh, my son is born too late! šŸ™‚ (i am not sure what metal it is, probably silver? it looks silvery. my son declared that it's platinum. will tell him it's not sometime later, right now he is too euphoric so I don't have the heart to say it's not and dampen his spirits.)

wah augmum, how come you get to attend twice? share?

It's probably not silver, as silver will tarnish... šŸ˜‚

DH picked up DS from school today and noticed a certain teacher wearing a top that was exposing one side of her shoulder.. Er, what do you call that type of \"neckline\"?

Anyway, he also thought that the top was inappropriate for school teachers. He said this is ok if this person is working in KTV... šŸ˜† and wondered who the teacher was trying to distract... students or parents
