My gal is happy in the school and i dont have plans to move.
But the fees we paying. I would expect Pat's to stick to a low teacher student ratio.
yes, for the fees we paid, shd have a lower teacher-child ratio....
if i were u, i would speak to Patricia personally to voice out whatever they \"promised or stated\" when u enrolled the child.....

on the otherhand, if yr gal is happy there,
i think it's still ok to stay put with a higher teacher-child ratio

        Hi to all,

I'm looking for a playgroup for my daughter. Wondering if anyone can share their experience for Pat's schhses in the east (ie, either siglap or katong). What is the fee like?

        Thanks! 😄

          Hi,

          My kid's with Mt Emily.
Although this is a small branch, environment is nice and conducive.
Teachers and principal are great too.
Just make sure that the class u looking at keeps to the teacher student ratio as promised by them.
I saw that you mentioned that for your child they did not, have you talked to the principal, are they going to get another teacher? You mentioned that your daughter loves it there, what are the things she likes about it? 😄

Pat school house low child ratio? yes n no. Their class is big, 1 class maybe 2 teachers handle 24 kids as claim... but in actual fact, most of the time, only 1 teacher is inside. it is a gimmick.... go for trial n observe... you will know the truth!

My DS is in the playgroup (Full Day) at Serangoon branch. Ratio is 2 : 14 with 1 English and Chinese teacher around. If the teacher is on leave, there will be another teacher taking over, unless there is a shortage of teacher (ie teachers on leave or medical leave) But i would say, most of the time, both english and chinese teachers are there. Just to highlight, some of the teachers work half day and balance half p.m maybe take over by another teacher. Most of the learning programme in a.m, so pm is more like having lunch, taking shower, taking nap and relax activities (ie stories / cooking / music). I know this because I send my boy to school everyday.

Subsidy for full time working mum is $300.

You can find the fees listed in http://www.childcarelink.gov.sg
I'm also interested to know if there's any feedback on the Pat's in the east, in particular Katong/Meyer Road branch.

                  Thanks!

                      Hi Smurfy,

Your size for playgroup is 2:16?
According to Pat's website, playgroup ratio is \"Low Teacher-Child Ratio: 1:7\"
                      http://www.patschoolhouse.com/programmes/playgroup/curriculum

At least yours is not as bad as my 2:16 when my toddler group should be \"Low Teacher-Toddler Ratio: 1:6\"
                      http://www.patschoolhouse.com/programmes/toddler/curriculum

Thanks for everyone advices, at least now i know its Mt Emily problem.
I will speak to the principal and see what she says.

                        shiyunu:
I enroll her for next year Playgroup. I agree it is 'international' there so I am unsure if it is a wise choice. Wanted to enrol into Halifax or Serangoon centres, but no vacancy. The next best choice is Mt Emily.

My gal is currently with Learning Vision. Their centres are also closed on Fri. I guess it is the same as they belong to KU group.
                        Hi Shiyunu,
Understand that you plan to enroll for Playgroup next year at Mt Emily. Have you spoken to the principal? Did she promise to keep to the low ratio?
