Hi,
My DD is also going to Pats toddler care Halifax branch from Jan 2011.
As it's my first time leaving her in a foreign environment, I would like to ask how most of the mummies here do it. Did you peek thru the windows for the longest time?
My DD is quite attached to me and will prob cry. Any pointers on how to get her accustomed to the environment? If I see her cry I think my heart will break ...
Hi Blurdaze,
Rem to update yourself in the list that Pat's mummies has created.
Time flies, the 2009 babies are coming to Pat soon
My DD is currently in toddler's class.
I only stayed on for the 1st day. In fact, the teachers from the other classes actually told me, I dont have to stay ard! I do feel awkward being the only parent that is hanging ard the school that day.
Since u will be joining in Jan, there should be some orientation whereby parents are welcome to hang around the school on the 1st 3 days. Lucky you!
For my case, i joined halfway, so no such privileges for me.
Halifax teachers shld be v experience in handling such separation anxiety problems, so dont worry.

Thanks for the reassurance. Trying to start her in D'story Club first so that she can get used to the place.

I agree, 1.5 hours on the school bus is much too long for a kid. Sigh, looks like I'll have to rush off from work everyday next year.
Hi Preciousmoments,
I agree with debpch, 1.5hrs is too long.
In fact, the driver told me mine would be around 1 hour as he need to send those in orchard area home first.
1 hour is already very long to me.
For us, we dont have a choice as we are not able to pick her up on time.
Let's hope the school can have 1 more driver to cater to the north/north easteners
Currently they only have 2 driver for the morn- home to school route
As for the school to home route, there is
2 driver for the 12pm
1 or 2 driver for the 3pm
1 driver for the 5pm
Actually all in all, there is only 2 drivers. So they will come to and fro to pick kids from different sessions.
Crystalbelle, where do you stay for your bus journey to take 1 hour?
Can I check, after shower, do the kids change to new set of clothes or they wear what they wore in the mornings?
And for the older K1 and K2 children, do they still drink milk in school? School's milk or kid's own milk?
Forgot to clarify my queries with Tanya when we registered. -
Hi,
Understand from Tanya that they provide UHT milk to all children. However, u can also bring ur own milk. They will also change into new clothes after shower.preciousmoments:
