A little OT here....does anyone know when will S1 posting result be out ? Or when was last yr's posting result day ? I'm planning for a tour after the PSLE.
Are you talking about the PSLE results or the S1 posting? If it is the PSLE results, from my past years' observation, it is always the Thursday in the week after the last day of school in November.
But if you are talking about the S1 posting, than that is usually just a few days before Christmas, but between then and the new school term in January, do you have that much time to go on a tour, considering that the child has to report to the Secondary School posted one day after the S1 posting is released.
Then again, have to consider books/uniforms etc if they are not available on the Orientation Day and this is assuming that you are satisfied with the school that your child has been posted to and are not considering an appeal to other schools. All these take time. Safer to go on a tour prior to the S1 posting, meaning between the time the results are released and having chosen your schools and the S1 posting, think that is the best time for a tour. Just my 2 cents worth.

How is every1 coping with the PSLE stress? Exam is just 2 months away and orals have already started. Any ideas about how tough this years papers will be?
-
it is very stressful indeed…though i keep telling myself to relax and not to pile too much work on ds, there is always nagging thoughts that "what if he doesn’t have enough practice?" and "since there is still a bit of time, he can do some more…"
having said that, i did give him some computer time to play some games when i see that he has done quite a bit of revisions…but, though i am very tempted to resume our weekly excursion to JB to makan and catch a movie, i didn’t and last wkend, we were all cooped up at home doing revisions…guess it would be like this till the end of psle and SA2 for no 2.
it is so hard to strike a balance bet. being too relaxed and overdoing it! -

I am not coping well…
Really stressed and upset over it…Not being able to find gd tutor for my twins too…
They are only v weak in Maths and its a pity if this pull them down from overall score…I dunno what went wrong in Maths but its a killer subject to them…
I suppose they can score an A in eng n MT but I am worried that they will flunk Maths…Will they be asked to repeat P6? Science should also be at least a B…
I am on the verge to give up…School has been very supportive with morning remedial starting at 630am daily, after school on some days and giving them prelim papers of top school… -

Your children's school is very ON, wish ds's school could do a bit more of this kind of support, his school (or at least his class) seems very slack this year. Even ds felt this way too. Makes me :nailbite: -

Their classroom is even air-conditioned! The teachers are very ON and excellent...Will keep on sms or call me when necessary to discuss how to help my twins with their work...I am really impressed but yet my twins are not working hard enough... -
Really envy your children.
Mine will NOT be taking psle in air con hall/room cos school is at lousy old old holding site.
Don't see much effort by the school in pushing up their marks. Maybe the prelim results would serve as a wakening call to all, including the teachers & mgt team. -
Yep, my dd’s science teacher can’t even remember what’s osmosis ! only know how to "outsource" ie. ask them to do the online problem sum.com instead of giving them math homework ! btw, sometimes my dd said she’s stressed but most of the times, she’s reading newspapers, singing korean pop - didn’t see her revising and working hard !!
i’m torn bet asking her not to worry/stressed abt PSLE and working harder (just 2 months only) ! can’t really tell if she’s really stressed (if so, then i don’t want to push her) that’s why she’s de-stressing in the evening ? she’s still learning piano and painting - though DH has asked her to stop these activities (he’s trying to save $$ - piano lessons getting so expensive - each lesson costs $55 for 1 hr !); she still insists on taking these lesson during PSLE !!
