2010 PSLE Discussion

octopusmum:
Am confused now, is it 12 noon sharp or earlier at 10 to 11 plus? :?
I don't know if my experience will help ease your confusion, but for both my boys, the results were released at 12pm sharp. -
ycpang:
Result will be BEFORE noon. Around 10+ to 11+am. If you take half day afternoon, by the time you reach school, game is over.
I thought going back to work in the morning will past the waiting time easily.
Two years ago I took \"extended lunch\" only and reached school slightly past 12 noon just a few mins before the annoucement of the top ten position. Then, parents and students proceeded to class to receive PSLE result. There another round of cheering or tearing outsides ds classroom, ... I returned to office by 2pm to continue working while chatting with kiasu parents. -

if u get a call from the school before 12 noon, it means your kid is among the top in the school / nation .... -
verykiasu2010:
I am on leave for a day and prepare to reach school by 11am although DD teacher said to reach school by 11.30am. Told DD she catch up with her classmates too while waiting.octopusmum:

Reading all these post made me feel very nervous. I am not ready…

DS showed me the parent notification yesterday nite. He has to be in school by 11.30am and results will be released at 12 noon sharp.
intend to be there by 11.15am.... i am already having butterflies in my stomach now, don't know whether i can take it on the actual day itself
-
INNOVATE:
Agree, they are only 12 and it is their 1st National Exam. Parents should try to be there for their kids no matter what the results are. Kids will remember such things later in life.Practical advice is for one parent to accompany pupils on annoucement day.
The above is the general practice for years.

that's right...exciting moment of this day, could see some every emotional scene such asnoob:
Oh.....time really flies...so fast the 2010 PSLE results will be out soon....it has been a year from this exciting day.

ya right! i recalled the exciting moment of this day last year... with parents n students filled with joys, laughters and tears in the school hall upon collecting the psle result.
parents hugging their chidren tightly and smiling contendedly or
pupils consoling another pupil who was sobbing uncontrolledy.
one scene which has a deep impression in my mind
was a mummy angrily fished out her mobile and called her hubby
talking at the top of her voice, \" u know what your daughter has got???\"
she was so angry, wonder what she would do to her daughter next
Oh my gosh, that is so sad. Poor kid! -
Quintessential Mum:
Oh my gosh, that is so sad. Poor kid!
\"She only got 265! Didn't get top in school! Walau eh! Other classmates all score better than her. Make me lose face in front of the other parents. Waste my money on her tuition. Go home she'll know!\"

Quite common scene. -
Gosh, don’t know whether I will cry out of joy or disappointment! This is so nerve wrecking, I hope I know the results right now…the suspense is killing me!
