My wife called MOE regarding this and they agreed there will be a very small percentage that will have same T-score even they have many dec pl. In such cases, they said the person with 1st choice have an advantage.

That's true. It's because if you read the book carefully, you can only get into a school if you can displace the lowest person in the queue. If somebody with the same T-score got there first, you cannot displace that person.

It's all on their website. http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/secondary-one-posting/

Interesting. Then it depends on how the students are sorted when they are ranked. not the choice also. For example, if the students are sorted by T-score, then, by name. Then, the student whose name appears first will be allocated place first. If this person gets into his 2nd choice school, the next person with exactly the same score (even up to decimal place), but chose the school as 1st choice, won't be able to displace this last person !

Oh, sorry, maybe there is also a sorting by school choice. then it makes sense that the person who chooses the school as first choice gets priority. In any case, it will affect those who have exactly the same score and when there is only 1 place left. Tough luck !

Otherwise you'll find loads of kiasu parents naming their children Aaron. 😄 Ay, but kiasu might as well name Aaron just in case. hahahah!

The result slip is the one we get on 25th November, the one with our grades and T-Score. 😉
